Episode 8 | Condensed . Matter | Ancient Forest

Andres Cano a.k.a Ancient Forest resides in the north of the valley - Colombia. He is oriented in Ambient , Deep  and Tribal sound style. He is attracted to the soundscape, the environment and the meditation music, lover of angelic tonality and healing frequencies. He is a co-founder and producer in Norte Techno series which is representing a community dedicated to the deep and hypnotic sides of electronic music.Ancient Forest express in music a sound with different emotions through the depth of its frequencies, releasing every feeling found within the being. Make up his line combining ambient, organic sounds, tribal chases, and dub techno, a journey of high vibration and mental stimulation. For Matter Series he wanted to show a concept a little deeper and of mental stimulation with frequencies that will make our mind travel through a passage of high vibration entering a tribal environment with very marked percussions and rhythmic steps based on downtempo.

The compilation brings together artistic ideas rooted in and around psychedelic and club-oriented music. The A-side focuses on rhythmic, dance-driven tracks, spanning Progressive Psytrance and related styles such as Psytech and darker sonic territories of Psy.

The B-side shifts the focus. Calmer, atmospheric, and more experimental sounds take center stage. Ambient structures open up a more contemplative dimension that has recently become a stronger interest and focus for Trips.

The VA compilation’s fundraising goal is central to the project: at a time when far-right forces are gaining strength and social regression is becoming increasingly visible, we want to take a clear stance. That is why all proceeds from the project will be donated to Netwerk Polylux e.V. [polylux.network], which supports antifascist and queer initiatives in eastern Germany.

A big, heartfelt thank you to all the artists for their tracks and for being part of this project.
