Soma are proud to present the debut album from Rebekah as she unleashes the incredible ‘Fear Paralysis’. Rebekah has consistently been one of the most ferocious and exciting Techno artists for some time and is currently riding high within the Soma ranks after debuting on the label back in 2015 with the audacious ‘Confined Heart EP’. This album has certainly been a labour of love for Rebekah as uncertain times, musically, lead her to refocusing all her time and energy into developing her sound with the aim of creating a cleaner rhetoric than she was generally known for. The culmination of this process has found Rebekah returning to a simpler time where elements from the depths are explored thoroughly within Fear Paralysis.

Rebekah wastes no time in diving head first into her first full length, with even the Intro setting the dark and ominous tone of the release. Breakfast With Jeff really kicks off Fear Paralysis as Rebekah further ups the pace, unleashing a menacing yet powerful Techno workout. The feisty producer then takes things down a different path, exploring more album orientated material as 1997 Reprise, Requiem For A Dream & Breath see Rebekah explore various forms of broken beat, atmospheric and more thoughtful territories. Rebekah continues to show her versatility as a producer as the album process continues. Tell Me Your Secrets serves up a more cerebral sound whilst title track Fear Paralysis evokes a deeper more emotive side whilst remaining, ultimately, a dance floor focused track. The later half of the album sees Rebekah once again delivering on what she does best. Thirteen is a pounding and sinister affair, laden with perilous drones leading perfectly into I Died A Thousand Times. Another broken beat affair swamped in mutated sequences and murky background textures. The jacked up Code Black, a track already doing damage as the 2nd single taken from the album, powers home toward the back end of the album which allows Rebekah to bring things to a close on a more deeper tip. Again drifts gently with its staccato baseline line, wistful pads and filtered percussion with Rebekah’s own vocals providing the depth. The electronica based Later That Day and the vicious Anxiety, taken from Rebekah’s 2nd Soma single, bring this momentous album to an electrifying end.

Rebekah easily shows off her adaptability throughout and clearly shows a very wide range of influences in each track, making Fear Paralysis the perfect listening and club use album

Ischia based artist's influences mix perfectly with his distinctive personal sound signature, creating a powerful and crisp techno EP, destined to make some real damage to the floor!

'Synchronize' is fast, powerful, intense! This original mix is based on a crisp and dynamic drumset - typical characteristic of the Italian artist, while the short synth stabs add on to the already blasting tempo of the track speedier and more intense.

Iconic techno producer Tom Hades debuts on VOLTAGE Records by choosing this track to remix and add his own character on the original composition. His version is punchier and darker, reinforced with his killer percussions and merciless tempo! 

Original version of 'Sunset on a cruise' is atmospheric, yet powerful and vibrant, with huge drops and intense drums. Anna V.'s remix on the track takes it to a whole new level, bringing out proggy vibes and an old school scent adding wide melodic arpeggios as well as and her typical huge bass lines and kicks.

Drumcode returns with its 6th installment of the internationally celebrated A-Sides series. Renowned for fostering a shared space between industry tastemakers and rising talent alike, the careful curation that goes into each volume is a fine example of why Beyer’s brand continues to go from strength to strength.

Techno titan Adam Beyer has grown Drumcode into a force to be reckoned with; the label has become synonymous with forward-thinking, functional techno and even after 20 years, Drumcode continues to find new boundaries to push, and ways to solidify its legacy as the world’s number one techno label. 

2017 is no exception, with Beyer’s imprint hosting it’s first stage at Tomorrowland, not to mention the expansion of the critically acclaimed Junction 2 where the Drumcode stage is the centrepiece and Adam plays the key role of festival director. The Drumcode phenomenon continues to grow each week, chiefly fuelled by Drumcode Radio, Adam’s radio show that’s broadcast in 57 countries via 86 stations and to a global audience of 16 million techno fans per week. 

The A-Sides series acts as a perfect vignette of Drumcode’s cutting-edge sound; functional yet inspired techno, all tracks tried and tested by Beyer himself. Vol. 6 continues this tradition with a collection of 16 multi-faceted cuts from a mixture of both emerging artists and experienced label friends. 

The heart-throbbing bass in Amelie Lens’ electrifying piece ‘In Silence’ sets the tone for the dark and dance-floor-ready energy that Vol.6 carries the whole way through. Other standouts include Mars Bill’s rough’n’ready ‘Mohave’. Pulsating and precise, ‘Mohave’ has highlighted many of Beyer’s sets recently as has Wehbba’s monster track ‘Fake’, which fans have been anticipating the release of all year. 

Label-favourites Dense & Pika also feature on ‘A-Sides’ Vol. 6 with their hard-hitting ‘Just a Beat’ and a huge track from Beyer himself who has joined forces with Enrico Sangiuliano to bring us their undeniably infectious ‘Preset Heaven’. 

With many more notable selections from the likes of Julian Jewell, Timmo, Tiger Stripes and Pig&Dan, A-Sides Vol. 6 is another impressive addition to the label’s prolific release roster and a testament to why Drumcode remains at the forefront of the electronic world.

Slam continue their prolific activity in 2017 with their new 4 tracker, The Sanctuary EP. 

A year of relentless touring hasn’t stopped the Soma label heads from firing on all cylinders with each release, and this latest EP sees the duo turn up the heat once more.

The EP starts off with Conduction, a heady mix of crafted Techno and strong, tripped out melodic rhythms. The rigorous Rotation is up next and goes full tilt, drawing on the main sequenced tones to drive home a powerful and reactionary affair. Slam are always ones for creating great synergy within their releases and do so proficiently as the EP goes deeper with Convection. Subtle, modulating synths lead the charge and perfectly crafted percussive elements remain steadfast throughout. The duo close the EP with the title track Sanctuary. A vibrant, affair packed with pulsating tonality, as classic synthesis methods are used to immense effect.

Carl Cox is an industry figurehead whos legacy in music includes his iconic label Intec, which he runs with friend and business partner Jon Rundell, and the new release is from Matt Sassari. Matt Sassari originally joined Intec working in collaboration with D-Unity but this is the Frenchmans second solo release following his EP on the label at the end of 2017. The success of his first solo release on Intec made a second almost inevitable and since then Matt Sassari has also contributed music to Dense & Pika's Kneaded Pains, Martin Eyerers Kling Klong, Sasha Carassis Phobiq and Monika Kruses Terminal M. On top of this he has also done a top selling remix of Green Velvets classic anthem "La La Land". A multitalented artist, Matt can effortlessly switch between making both techno and house music, but this release showcases his hard side with a thumping style that leans towards the more banging end of techno. Teaming up with German producer Patrik Berg fresh from their successful release together on Terminal M which received heavy DJ support and hit the top 3 on Beatport they are now back together for this next chapter on Intec. Nervosity starts the EP and from the offset takes no prisoners with the relentless pounding of its hammering kick drum. Building in intensity, the tracks ferocity is made more intense with grinding synths and the commanding vocals menacing tones. With a rigid sound that undoubtedly falls under the category of hard techno, this exhilarating track is strong enough to shake the foundation of any club in which its played. Second is Kun Daha which takes its title from the vocal phrases that have a tribal feel to them. Like a spiritual ceremony or perhaps a dark offering, the track has dramatic conga hits and booming tom drums reminiscent of those used by aboriginal tribes. Contrasting with the otherwise mechanical background, this distinctly individual cut has a tough sound and an unusual blend of textures. Not as hard as the first cut but still tailored to the club, this is peak time techno at its most captivating.
