What started out as something we do for fun quickly turned into a channel through which we can share our passion for electronic music. We had no idea that more than 5 years later we would've hosted so many amazing artists, and even more amazing human beings. As regulars at @initiate_concept we figured @pattrn_dj is the right soul for the occasion. He is co-founder and resident of the event series. They invite guests and labels to the @fusebrussels motion room on a regular basis. Kuba, for that is his real name, became known on the Polish club scene as a man of good taste and great passion for technical music, functioning as a promoter and booker of the cult Wroclaw venue Transformator. For the past few years, he has also successfully realized himself as a DJ. As part of the podcast for our series, he presented a recording that is clearly characterized by its functional-dance nature. There are a lot of hypnotic, psychedelic motifs here, but the whole carries an uplifting atmosphere of the following tracks following the direction of ecstatic dance. Brice Deloose aka Pattrn is a Brussels based producer, and dj, not to mention label owner as well. As head of Initiate Records, Brice’s discerning ear for quality music extends through many different genres, which aptly describes his mix for us today. Gliding effortlessly through the varied flavors of ambient and downtempo, Brice weaves an introspective tale, perfect for morning walks, or those moments of solitude before the onslaught of the day.

Here’s to a final send off of 2023, and onwards to 2024 for more music, more challenges, and above all, more Sunday mornings…

Nørbak is Artur, born is the late nineties, in the North of Portugal. His devotion into making music begins early in his life, and since then, keeps working in his studio, day after day, discovering and developing his own sound, diving into ambient and experimental techno. In 2016 releases in labels such as ‘Illegal Alien Records’ and ‘Circular Limited’, reaching the point in 2017 where he sees his  recognition going further with a split vinyl EP on ‘Affin’ and later on contributed to the label’s 10th year anniversary release with the track “Gilgamesh”, in 2018 in he releases the EP “Marah” on Dynamic Reflection, “Nura” on Faut Section and contributed to the yearly Unknown Landscapes compilation on PoleGroup. Feeling supported by some of the most respected artists in the scene, his future can only be brighter than what it is right now, with so many boundaries to achieve, discover, learn and cross.

Sonic experiments derived from syncopated rhythms, intricately crafted ambiences, and patiently evolving textures, Pattrn’s work as a producer bases itself on the creation of space and its perception for the audience. Playing violin since the age of four and later on majoring in both acousmatic music composition and sound engineering, Pattrn’s precision is the fruit of a lifelong dedication to music of all forms, from creation in itself or through his implications in Brussels’ scene. 

Beyond the years of technical know-how and self improvement in production, DJing, and live sets,  Brice Deloose aka Pattrn has been an active member of the local scene for quite some time. Cocreator of FTRSND, Brussels By Night Federation, Initiate, as well as having been the artistic director of Fuse club, Pattrn has spent much of his time promoting local artists and collectives to push forward Brussels' underground. 


Having shared the decks with the likes of Luke Slater, Luigi Tozzi, Claudio PRC, Kangding Ray, Svreca, and many more, Pattrn uses his sets to impose his world of seamless hypnotic music to lure passionates for always one last dance.
