Although it was hard watching months of careful planning and hard work erased, we recognise the impact of this crisis goes much deeper than a few cancelled parties, so we decided to channel our energy into something more positive.

'Remote Access' is a collection of music sourced from both core members of our CF family, and a handful of our favourite producers operating in the UKs underground scene.

100% of proceeds for this release will go towards The Trussell Trust, supporting a nationwide network of food banks which are currently under an unprecedented level of pressure.

Mr. Mitch’s Gobstopper Records has long been one of those looked-to labels, giving a platform to UK club sounds that push the envelope. Its latest offering is from Otik, otherwise known as Ashley Thomas, who follows releases on DEXT, Keysound and Nous Disques with ‘Thousand Year Stare’, a four-tracked EP that taps into UK funky, techno and spacious atmospherics. Though now based in London, Otik’s style is informed by his background in Bristol, and there’s a thread of those shadowy bass sounds running throughout his productions. ‘Ghost Mole’, which we’re premiering below, takes a thudding kick drum and wraps a percolating synth line over the top, the result being something with an artful groove. Death Raw marks the first release of 2020 for Birmingham-based label Fly By Night Recordings, with a heavy-hitting breaks and electro 4-track EP from French artist A-Sim featuring a collaboration with Evenn and a remix from UK Bass artist Pluralist. With releases on R&S Records and RAWAX, A-Sim is an emerging artist to watch, heavily influenced by the sound of UK Bass and breakbeat. The second half of the EP features the dreamier and faster “Cloud Burner”, coupled with a remix from up-and-coming Birmingham artist Pluralist, following up his releases on Manuka and Control Freak Recordings, which has more of a focus on UK Bass.
