After four years in the making India Electric Company present their third album Pomegranate.
From the grips of an underworld without concerts and shared experience comes to the surface an album built in the heart of the West Country describing a life very much in motion whilst in the grips of standing still.
It weaves through their musical heritage combining their traditional folk roots, their dalliance with electronic analogue synths along with rhythms cultivated in lands further afield and an unadulterated love of pop.

India Electric Company present the second part of a series of releases exploring contrasting themes between the country and the city, focusing on traditional music of England and Scotland and folk songs that have been collected there.

In association also with the EFDSS (English Folk Dance and Song Society), Seven Sisters is a body of work that is built around using traditional instruments and tunes in contemporary ways.

Drawing on Northumbrian tunes, the great song collectors of the twentieth century and W.H Auden’s Age of Anxiety, it is a record that fuses folk references with a unique contemporary arrangements using prepared piano and sub bass accordion. Recorded in the National Trust’s Sutton House in Hackney and an empty Devonshire house this is fresh thinking traditional music with a deeply rooted country imprint.

An exploration of their own travels and research that seeks to find musical ties that bind them with the premise that folk songs have evolved from the blending of different cultural traditions.
With references including Gnawa rhythms, Norwegian folk melodies and Thomas Gray, Tablelands is a record that is built around using traditional instruments and rhythms in contemporary ways.
