Indian Vista is an Alternative/Indie band from Denver Colorado. The anticipated release of their debut album “Valiant” has been an interesting road. Lead singer Jake Weezner first adapted the songs to a meet a full band sound after setting aside a solo/acoustic project. “It got boring being the only one in the band, as a musician, camaraderie is usually what really brings out the creative process.” Jake said to his mom on the phone. A few of the songs such as “Division & Ashland” and “The Phrase That Defines” have been in Jake's music portfolio for some time now, being rewritten, parts thrown away, parts brought back, molding as he did in the last few years. “I've always had a very easy time putting a song together quickly, almost a freestyle writing process.” he continued in telling his mother. “with a couple solo projects, 5 or 6 bands, I personally have written close to 400 songs in the last 10 years.... granted only lets say half have had time spent on them.” “What do you mean time spent on them?” his mother asked ever so mom like. “Well take this Indian Vista album for example, more specifically the song “Valiant”, that song is 7 years old, but it just now in the last few months became something I really wanted. This project has given me a new love for song writing, so now when I am in a freestyle song writing moment if you will, the quick jumping off point I'm used to is now a much more substantial beginning to a finished product, like “The Phrase That Defines”, I wrote it in March of 2016, just sat down one night, feeling frisky and had it demo recorded in 6 hours, and that version was very similar to the finished product you hear today.” Jake and his mother continued to talk for many hours, eventually solving the worlds problems.
