Sonne, Strand und Meer Guest Mix #140 by Corvex

The Mexican DJ, producer and guitarist had premature contact with music at age 10 as a guitarist for multiple school bands and years later in local bands composing original songs and several "covers" of Indie-Rock, he managed to win the admiration of industry figures such as Andrik Palacios himself from "Drims" and Alejandro Cervantes from "Maldita Vecindad", so the stages and the industry are not new for this musician.
At 23 he began the project of "° Corvex °" product of his passion for electronic music, with a clear influence of Deep House, Progressive house, Minimal House and Techno, the sound of ° Corvex ° experiments with the "groove" of the elegant genres and the energy of Techno, creating serious atmospheres with a touch of mystery but never forgetting the essence of "House" ... dance. His genre is not faithful to just one, but his love for the cosmos and fiction have led him to create sets and original themes that try to emulate what would be heard in a "Space Club”. Managing to position himself in national and international tops on the "Mixcloud" page, and having had multiple appearances on the Berlin German radio "Limufy" the name of ° Corvex ° is increasingly emerging in the industry.

-how did that happen: I've always loved electronic music and had been going to events regularly for many years. I'd also met most of my closest friends on a dancefloor in previous years, with a few of them already playing within the music industry. My partner had been encouraging me to try learning to mix for years, and one day I finally decided to give it a go...I instantly fell in love with it. 

-genre: the genre of this podcast is melodic techno & house. My favourite genres are progressive house and deep/melodic techno & house. 

-favourite place: Berlin

-favourite track (for the moment): Rainbow- Matan Caspi 

-favourite food: ...such a tough question. I love food. My life revolves around my stomach. I love Japanese food; so I'd say Ramen is one of my favourite foods. 

-other hobbies: travelling, running, cooking, going to the beach (my happy place), partying (of course :P ) 

-places where I want to play: I was really lucky to achieve one of my dreams of playing at Revolver Upstairs earlier this year. The big dream would be to play at a well known festival in Victoria (anc across the world) called Rainbow Serpent. It has the most incredible prog/melodic techno from artists across the world and the most unique vibes out of any festival I've experienced around the world. I would also love to have the opportunity to play at Kater Blau and Sisyphos one day in the future :) 

-where do I see my musical future: playing events and festivals that showcase more progressive/melodic music. I've also been learning music production and would like to release my own tracks eventually. 

-upcoming events: I'm due to play at a small day Festival in a couple of weeks, and also to play at the next instalment of Mama Said the next day (which is my favourite event in Melbourne at the moment). 

- I want to get rid of: In an ideal world I would love to get rid of the judgemental stigma that sometimes occurs when people see older people partying at events (probably much more common in Australia as we're sometimes more conservative than Europe with the views on partying). The love of music doesn't fade with age, so i think it's great that people continue to go to events at any stage of their lives :) 

-message for the Weltenblummer podcast: The Weltenblummer podcast series is amazing and showcases so many talented artists that play all kinds of beautiful music. Music really does have the power to brighten up people's days, especially during challenging times with COVID/lockdowns. Thank you so much for the opportunity to do a podcast <3

Biography:
“TanzBarKeiten” a german Word for “very good danceable tracks with strong rhythms and melodies” !

In 1995 I was 17 years old and I got from my Mom 2 Omnitronic Turntable and a Killswitch Mixer from Gemini;-) After 1 Year I had taught myself the DJing and then I produced the first Tapes under my first DJ name DJ Wes and later under Fry Dijon and DJ Rooker. Later, more and more tapes followed just only under my other alias Fry Dijon & Rooker.

Some of my first Vinyl’s what i bought was from X-Traxx Records. DJ Misjah & Groovehead so damn good Techno and Acid ;-), Alex Christensen (U96-Das Boot) Oh God, so fuckin long Time ago...and for sure, Nathalie de Bora with ‘’Heart but House’’ and ‘’Frisco Street Riders’’, ‘’Living on Video’’ etc. p.p. and also Cosmic Baby, Joey Beltram, Westbam, Marusha and soooo many more from the good old Times, ‘’ The 90’s ‘’ ;-) .

My former DJ Idols was DJ Aphex, DJ Jordan, DJ Jauche, DJ F/X aka DJ Felix F/X and later Felix FX, PJ NFX, DJoker Daan, DJ Dash (Tresor) and naturally Laurent Garnier, Monika Kruse and Sven Väth, Mitja Prinz, Elbee Bad, Steve Mason and many more DJ's to mix at the middle - End-/ of the 90's and especially at Tresor, Hafenbar, Delicious Doughnuts, Lime Club.

Not so long ago, I selling my Tapes in trendy Fashion Stores made me a little better known as a DJ and soon followed the first appearances in Clubs like the Tresor (Leipziger Straße), Matrix, E-Werk, a lot of private Party's and etc. etc. etc.! Until 2004 I was very active as a DJ. Due to my former job and a later foundation of my family, I had a very long break.

Now in 2018, after 14 Years, I’m back under my new Name T.B.K. = TanzBarKeiten  but of course, when I play Minimal/Deep Tech - Techno or Groove-Funky-JackinHouse-Disco Music under my other 2 DJ Names Rooker & Frank Flanger.

“TanzBarKeiten” a german Word for “very good danceable tracks with strong rhythms and melodies” !
That means " T.B.K. = TanzBarKeiten " !
