The Indie Music Review was setup in late March, 2011 and is designed to offer a platform to unsigned and independent artists, musicians and songwriters looking for that initial someone to listen to their music. The IMR is the first step on the ladder; the foot in the door. Whether just looking for a little press, have a review to point others to or just looking for a sound-byte, we can be your first point of contact. Send us your demos. Either on dropbox or message us for an address. The more tracks you send us, the better an idea we will be able to make of your sound. All reviews will be posted on our blog (www.indiemusicreview.co.uk) and the artists contacted.

Housekeeping.

1. The IMR is a non-funded medium - We do this for nothing more than a love of indie music and a desire to give a voice to those who have so far not been heard. All styles of music are welcome, but I would say that if you're a bubblegum pop act or anything that sounds so commercial, it gives the Pussycat Dolls diabetes, you're probably best off not wasting anyone's time. 

2. Please also be aware that some CDs, demos, songs or MP3s might not be listened to as we may be too swamped. Sorry - it's just the way it goes sometimes.

3. It is the policy of IMR to never give a totally bad review. If we can't find something in your music that we like, then we won't slate it. Constructive feedback will be offered, but we're not in the business of totally maiming someone online for all to see. On the flipside, should your demo or CD not receive a review, you should not automatically assume that we hate your music - we might just be snowed under or busy and that falls back under point 2.

4. Also please note that anyone sending CDs do so in the knowledge that you will never see them again, as we cannot be affording the return postage. You may only be sending one package, but we'd be sending hundreds (Please see the 'point 1' or the 'We do this for free'  section). 5. Your music is not bought and sold through the Indie Music Review. We do not host any music on our websites or on external servers. Wherever possible, we will provide links to singles and albums that we have reviewed. If these don't exist, then we will provide a link to a facebook, myspace, other website etc. We ARE NOT and WILL NOT ever be pay-to-play. We aim to use traffic on our site to drive advertising but we will never directly approach you for money for providing our opinion.

6. Also in the same vein; we WILL NOT ever give your music away. We aim to provide a Free Downloads section in the future. This section will consist of stuff which we have found on the internet already being endorsed by the artist in question and welcome any collaboration with any reviewed artist on IMR for free giveaways, downloads, etc, but that is your choice and will never be ours.
