Last Christmas

While this is definitely a step I intended to make while in Japan for another year, I'm glad to have something to show that I'm staying motivated at home during quarantine. I did really look forward to the music I'd make given another year oversea, but no matter what I can't let it stop me from succeeding at it here. 

This song was born out of a melody I played on guitar for weeks before putting words to it. I wanted to write about a feeling of genuine peace that I felt with one person in particular there, to show the many things that made me feel it. The songs, the moments, the words. 

The song's not finished, I've already written more than what I recorded last night, but I really love what I've started to make and I sincerely hope you appreciate it too!

Ocean Home (Demo)

As I work on my EP while I'm in quarantine, I'm leaving little checkpoints for me to see where I've been at what time. The newest checkpoint for me, which I wasn't sure if I would post, is this song. Thanks to a beat my cousin sent me, I've got one of the coolest things I've done. I've also been able to really explore my sound and how I like to write, the chorus was something I wanted to build on after working on Super Rich Kids so it was great to apply that here.

This song is still a work in progress, but I'd call this enough of a demo. My goals are to make it a little more varied as well as really tighten up the rhythm, but I'm excited to put this side by side with the finished product.
