Eric Scott, Sean Hailey, Lance Burton, Miles Oakley, and Jordan Dean all moved to Nashville from Anywhere, USA to sink deeper into their musical journeys. The four crossed paths after a series of convenient coincidences brought them together to make music. They formed indigo sol with the goal of changing mainstream music and reminding people that music is art and can be abstract, different, and free.

We are harmony makers and chaos creators. Our music is raw with a simple backbone and psychedelic overtones, glossed over with three part vocal harmonies. Imagine a trainload of orchestral nuts tuning to a droning choir as they plow through a cornfield of landmines.
Our name "indigo sol" comes from the term "sol indiges" meaning "invoked sun". Sol was the solar deity in Ancient Roman religion. It... was long thought that Rome actually had two different, consecutive sun gods. The first, Sol Indiges, was thought to have been unimportant, disappearing altogether at an early period. Only in the late Roman Empire, scholars argued, did solar cult re-appear with the arrival in Rome of the Syrian Sol Invictus. Recent scholarship has rejected this.
