☞ About the location
The Jesuit Missions of the Holy Trinity of Paraná were established by the Jesuits in the 17th and 18th centuries in what is now Paraguay, with the purpose of evangelizing the Guarani indigenous people. These missions provided education, protection, and social organization to indigenous communities. Trinidad del Paraná was one of the most important missions, along with others such as Jesús de Tavarangue and San Cosme y Damián. The missions had a unique urban design and developed an economy based on agriculture, livestock, and craftsmanship. However, tensions with colonial authorities and internal conflicts led to the expulsion of the Jesuits in 1767, eventually leading to the abandonment of the missions. Today, these missions are an important cultural and tourist heritage in Paraguay.

Hello, my name is Indio Rubio. I stand out as a Paraguayan DJ and producer, and my recognition comes from my innovative fusion of Paraguayan music with electronic elements. My stage name, "Indio Rubio," alludes to the mestizos born from the mix of Guarani and Spanish in the Paraguayan colonies, known as "indio rubio".

My aesthetic pays homage to the Guarani culture, using ornaments and makeup inspired by tradition. I even wear a feather headdress designed exclusively for my persona, in an effort to respect and avoid conflicts with some indigenous communities.

I actively engage with the community, particularly collaborating with the Maka community of Mariano Roque Alonso, under the leadership of Mateo Martínez Mateiko. This collaboration includes charitable activities, such as donating cleats to the local soccer team, Club Atlético Maka.

I stand out for my unique musical fusions, like my successful collaboration with producer and singer Redemm on the song "India," an electronic reinvention of the iconic Guarania by José Asunción Flores and Manuel Ortiz Guerrero. This version incorporates sounds of the Paraguayan fauna, offering an auditory experience that transports listeners to the heart of the Paraguayan forest.

In addition to my musical work, I promote Paraguayan culture and tourism in my country through free events, such as the India Sunset parties, where I present electronic versions of traditional Paraguayan music to encourage young people to appreciate their cultural heritage.

As part of my commitment to tourism promotion, I perform DJ sets in emblematic locations in Paraguay, such as the Blue Lake of Ypacarai, Cerro Lambaré, and the Jesuit Missions of Trinidad, which are recorded and shared on platforms like YouTube.

My musical style encompasses genres such as Afro House, Tribal House, and Tech House, and I continue to captivate audiences both locally and internationally with my innovative proposal that blends the traditional with the contemporary. My work reflects not only my passion for music but also my commitment to preserving and disseminating Paraguay's rich cultural heritage.
