Serotonin: A neurotransmitter believed to regulate mood.

Hailing from Jakarta, Indonesia, Indra7 (born Indra Asikin Isa)–a heavy metal enthusiast & one of the pioneer of techno scene movement in Jakarta. Started his career back in 1997 when he formed the first electronic band in Indonesia called Agus Sasongko & FSOP, which later became Media Distorsi in 2002. During the hiatus of his band in 2006, he got involved in several projects with fellow DJs and producers from Indonesia and South East Asia. Covid pandemic with no gigs has pushed Indra’s creative side with more time in the studio focusing his own material. Delivering a powerful hit of serotonin dance floor energy––“Serotonin 3 Am” an after hours club anthem, “Serotonin 6 Am (Original Mix) deep and minimal rolling chugger, and a dope remix as always from the amazing Reno Renatama. SEROTONIN EP is his first solo debut released under Malaysia’s Love International label in September 17th 2021 and available now on every digital platforms.

After one year hiatus, LeftRight Sound is back with another quality release, this time from DJ Ical, one of Jakarta's established players. Involved in the label's early releases as himself and Basement House, he delivers another gem with 'Breathe In & Out.'

Deep, sleazy house vibe with rolling bassline and catchy piano riff is the essence of the track. It comes with dope remixes too! His Basement House partner Robin Rahardian takes the more melodic route, while Indra7 brings an even deeper vibe with his electronic and analog approach. Last but not least, Timsdub's 'break and go' remix is a killer and makes it a complete package!

'Rubber Duck' is the latest house and techno blend from sharpshooting artist Indra7, out on homegrown imprint SALA Records.

Embedded in Jakarta's house and techno archive since the late 90s, Indra7 operates like a calm, collected beast behind the decks and a sonic assassin in the studio.

His acutely precise approach couldn't be more apparent in his latest two-track 'Rubber Duck' EP, which is inspired by a music-based software of the same name that was popular in the nineties.

The title track, ‘Rubber Duck’, is a funky acid bouncer with an intimately stripped-down aesthetic; rolling claps and a quirky synth melody steer the groove towards a dance floor workout. ‘Acid Sunday’ is a more full-bodied work, with the mid-frequency section really pushing the analogue drums in tandem with a rubbery acid line.

Media Distorsi was formed in Jakarta back in 2001. The band is about idealism, honesty, and attitude. The first album, "Chapter01: The Beginning", blends Jungle, Trance, Down Tempo, Jazz, and other genres. "We don't limit ourselves to any one form of electronic music because that could hamper the creative process. Thus we call it eclectic electronica."

Yet due to “different perspective of music and thoughts” between Indra7 and Agus Sasongko, they decided to freeze the band for an indefinite period of time.
