For The Children is a free style jam that occurred in Iroquois Falls Ontario after talking about losing loved ones and our discussions around the thousands of children found in unmarked graves all over Turtle island and the systemic abuse that continues on this land.

Come Back Nation is rebellion against the social and political systems that have disempowered and disenfranchised us. It's a message of empowerment to rise up and take back our freedoms and sovereignty in unity,  oneness and love.  

The reason I chose to release this song on September 30th - Orange Shirt and Truth Reconciliation is to honour the children who never came home. This my way of giving them voice and to show that I stand with them and that we haven't forgotten...

The song, initially inspired by the birth of Lindsay’s son, aims to address the pressing global challenges, including genocide and systemic collapse, profoundly impacting our present and future generations. This anthem serves as a heartfelt plea from Lindsay and her son to world leaders, politicians, and humanity at large to stand against these atrocities and unite in solidarity against war crimes and acts of hatred.

"Christmas All Over the World" is intended to be a unifying anthem during this time of year, inviting everyone to join together in a collective wish for a better world for the children, not just for oneself but for all individuals worldwide and for generations to come.

SHADES OF YOU MASTER

Toronto and Timmins Ontario based songstress Lindsay Layla Hachey has been singing since she was 9 years old. After moving to the big city in 2003 to attend the prestige Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts, Lindsay graduated in 2006 and began pursuing her career as a triple threat performer using acting, singing and dancing to express her self. Lindsay has since immersed her self in her Indigenous heritage going back to school to have a deeper look at Early Childhood Education and the relationship between Canada and it's First Nations, Metis and Inuit Peoples.  Lindsay graduated with a double diploma from the programs in 2017. 
Lindsay is a French Metis, Mi'kmaq, Algonquin and Irish descendant and has been taking her studies and experiences in life as a way to express her self through her music and songwriting as she walks the red path. 

"it's imperative that I am sharing stories of truth to my generation and the generations to come after me. Story telling through singing, dancing and acting feels to me, to be the most natural way to share at this stage in my life. My son and I both love to sing, dance and play with characters to help us share our feelings and creative processes to heal and reconnect to the land".

As a single mother Lindsay identify as an Indigenous woman caught in an unjust system living far away from her home land. 
"I feel like it is my duty to speak out for the women and children who cannot".

Her new single 5k Nation is available on all streaming services under ALONSO now. This collaboration happened in November 2020 and is currently out on all streaming services. Lindsay Layla will be releasing a new version of the single in the coming weeks called 'Come Back Nation' and will be available on all of your favourite streaming services.

Lindsay Layla is currently working with other artists, musicians and bands in Ontario and there will be a lot more coming from her in the upcoming months.
