Producer Manasseh delivers a contemporary roots rub-a-dub styled riddim track equipped with sparse militant live drums, driving bassline & deep piano skanks, designed to rock any sound system session. Skari moves with ease across the rhythm track on 'Seven Times Rise'. His sweet soulful vocal delivery accelerates into a 'fast chat' 'sing-jay' style flow on the verses as he lays out his mystical and Rastafari inspired tale of life's trials & tribulations.

On 'Seven Times Dub' Manasseh's sophisticated production sound, subtle dubwise mix style & progressive approach, showcases his reputation as a true master of his craft. Jamaican born veteran singer Robert Dallas reworks Barrington Levy's classic early 80s Dancehall anthem 'Prison Oval Rock' in fine style! This updated and adapted version utilises producer Richie Phoe's 'Roll Like Lion' rhythm track which originally featured Josie Wales (also released on Roots Garden records back in 2013).
Richie Phoe works his dubwise magic on the flip side for 'Cell Block Dub', stripping the rhythm back to it's bare bones as he captures Robert in his echo chamber!

This release was originally recorded and cut as an exclusive Roots Garden records 'dubplate special' back in 2014 after Robert Dallas dropped these lyrics freestyle over the mic at a Roots Garden sound system session held in Brighton (on the south coast ofEngland)...the crowd went crazy calling for the DJ to rewind the tune several times! This track has proved so popular at subsequent Roots Garden sessions that we have finally decided to make it available to everyone.
