Today on Meta Moto Premieres, we’re spotlighting a label from France: Vives. Marking their 12th release, we’re excited to introduce USHIJIMA and his Past Life EP. This five-track release will be available on both tape and digital formats starting May 27th. Today’s premiere is the track “Shin” — a dark, hypnotic piece with breakcore-tinged techno energy.

USHIJIMA is a producer and DJ based in Paris-Brest, France. He’s part of the Chiens Sans Collier collective and hosts the Cold Kultur radio show on Fréquence Mutine. You can pre-order the EP now via Vives' Bandcamp.

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from VEIVERIS. "Néra Vietos" comes off the new album, Virsmas, forthcoming from the Lithuanian artist. One of the album’s lead singles, “Nėra Vietos”, introduces VEIVERIS' storytelling vision, with Lithuanian vocals and a darkwave aesthetic.

In the album, the artist explores themes of personal development, becoming, and the never-ending process of change within oneself. Stylistically, the album revolves around the influences of nightclubs and dance-floor oriented genres, creating a unique clash of musical styles and a musically dynamic soundscape.

Rhys Fulber, a key figure in the industrial and electronic scene for his work with Front Line Assembly and Delerium, presents his new solo album, Memory Impulse Autonomy, under Artoffact Records. This work bridges his roots in the dark sound of the '80s (inspired by Cabaret Voltaire, Portion Control, and his fellow Skinny Puppy collaborators) with his evolution into contemporary industrial techno.

The album captures the creative essence of his early years, when he experimented with analog equipment in improvised sessions. "The title reflects those memories of musical discovery and the freedom to create without constraints," Fulber explains. The album features collaborations with avant-garde vocalists: William Maybelline (Qual) lends his signature brooding voice to The Abyss, Barkosina (Years of Denial) shines on the club track Only Love Will Save You, and Konstantin Unwohl adds depth to the industrial ballad Nichts Dafür Getan.

The cover art, designed by legendary artist Steven R. Gilmore (longtime collaborator with Skinny Puppy), pays homage to the genre's classic aesthetics. The album alternates between powerful cuts like Exlavier and more atmospheric moments like Further Back And Forward, showcasing Fulber's versatility.

It's a gift that producers as influential as Rhys Fulber continue to enrich our ears with new work, while also sharing their personal reflections on their current creative phase and new album.

his homeland, a feeling he has carried since childhood. It voices his lament over a society that
glorifies obedience to authority, where submission to the powerful is seen as a virtue, and where
suffocating contradictions between public appearance and private truth define the atmosphere.
Drawing inspiration from the distinctive basslines of 90s EBM, the track fuses heavy, rigid beats
