'Memoir Of Disintegration'  Track Premieres

I’m pleased to share a new series of releases s where I invite artists I’ve admired for years to remix my tracks. Each release will feature my original music alongside one or two remixes, bringing a fresh perspective to each project.

The first release, XERO, welcomes Steve Braam, aka Orca Silent from Canada.
This series focuses on minimalism, exploring deeper and more experimental sounds, music that isn’t exactly what you’d hear on the dance floor.
All releases will be available digitally and on tape.

Electro producer Ara-U began his musical journey in the late ‘90s, playing a pivotal role in developing the underground scene in South America. His early sets fused vinyl and synths, using a hybrid setup of Roland machine drums, turntables, and FX to explore acid and breaks. Now based in the UK for over two decades, Ara-U’ s sound remains rooted in raw analogue electro, showcasing his unrelenting passion for the sound.

As the founder of No Static Automatic (NS/A), Ara-U celebrates the label’s 5th anniversary this year. Founded in 2020 the label has established itself as a respected home for underground electro from across the world. Releases have come from figures from the genre with Ed DMX, Radioactive Man, Kronos Device, Second Storey, Ben pest, Manao and many more. This year he just released a collaboration with Ben Pest on NSA and a remix for Radioactiveman Kick out the jams remixes on AFT, his electro-punk band Return of the Luddites’ debut album. Next coming year as well as his own solo LP.

Ara-U’s own production has not only been released on NS/A but various EPs and tracks have dropped across Avoidant, Censor Music, Co-Accused Records, Bass agenda as well as his 2019 collaboration with Radioactive Man ‘Plastic Attack EP’ on Asking For Trouble. His productions and NS/A releases alike have received support from some of the most respected DJs with support from the likes of Helena Hauff, DJ Bone, Laurent Garnier, Dave Clarke, Mad Miran, Jerome Hill, Alienata, and Solid Blake and has been featured in Resident Advisor, Mixmag Spain and DJ Mag.

As well as putting the finishing touches to his first album, Ara-u has developed a hardware live set that channels his take on analogue sounds - traversing machine funk, driving basslines and dark pads. His live performances are as dynamic and raw as his productions, keeping his music authentic and raw to the core.

Techno moves in cycles, trends come and go, but true character endures. FW25/26 captures that tension with 12 tracks from 12 artists, from rising talents to established names, each bringing a distinct voice to contemporary techno.

Marcel Dettmann sets a dark, slow-burning tone with This Is a Test, Peder Mannerfelt pushes boundaries on Alternate Current, and Force Reaction explores trippy terrain with Mysteries Unfolding. Sanna Mun and Dynamic Forces channel mid 90's Detroit grooves, while Section 6, Sonic Propaganda, and UFO95 deliver peak-time power. Conrad Van Orton, Jeroen Search, Kerrie, and Aleksi Perälä opens the compilation with hypnotic, emotive, and unmistakably unique sounds.

Samuel Kerridge emerged onto the music scene with remarkable force during the past decade, propelled by a meteoric rise that, from his very first releases, demonstrated significant artistic maturity. From the outset, his work conveyed solidity and depth; his feat, perhaps, lay in his ability to transfigure the codes of techno and adapt them to inhospitable sonic environments, all filtered through a unique and deeply personal vision.

This distinctive approach draws from a deliberately diverse spectrum of influences, ranging from drone and industrial music to post-punk, dark ambient, abstract electronics, and even metal riffs. It was this amalgamation of qualities, this powerful and singular sonic identity, that immediately marked him as a producer to watch and established him as a cornerstone of the influential label Downwards, founded by his compatriot Regis.

Now, Samuel Kerridge returns to reaffirm his status with Memoir of Disintegration, his sixth studio album. The work stands as a convergence point where the key experiences and influences that have defined his trajectory perfectly crystallize. Across eleven tracks, the author focuses on weaving complex rhythmic sequences based on polyrhythms, erecting industrial textures of tangible roughness, and applying granular sound treatments that flirt with the territories of noise. All of this is framed within corrosive ambient landscapes, creating an atmosphere of oppressive and hypnotic beauty.

Electronics, in their purest and most twisted form, act as the binding element, mixing masterfully with all these raw ingredients and endowing the whole with a sophisticated, cerebral IDM touch. Memoir of Disintegration stands out as a work of exceptional creativity and elaboration, an album that confirms Kerridge's evolution and solidifies his position as an essential and provocative visionary on the fringes of the contemporary electronic scene.
