Here we are - the third and final chapter of the joint compilation between Tracklistings and Division Virtuel Records is out now!

After two powerful volumes that sparked great feedback and brought together a vibrant community of electro lovers, this last part closes the circle with another sharp and eclectic selection of tracks.

This final volume is the culmination of a project that started months ago with a simple idea:  highlight a wide spectrum of contemporary electro. 

Once again, the selection features artists from various backgrounds, styles and energies, all signed by the same conviction and a love for electro.

Huge thanks to everyone who submitted tracks, shared the releases, or supported the project along the way.
We’re proud to wrap this compilation on a high note, and grateful to have shared this journey with all of you.

Tracklistings has been offering mixes and exclusives around electronic music since 2008, without compromise, and has gradually specialized in underground electro. It has become a reference for fans of the genre.

Division Virtuel, based in Lyon and run by Atix, is a label that has been active for over 15 years. After several evolutions, it is now clearly focused on electro and electro-techno.

Terence Fixmer Reissues Two Cult Techno Anthems on Red 10" Vinyl and Digital.

Techno pioneer Terence Fixmer re-releases two of his most iconic tracks — Electrostatic and Electric Vision — now remastered for a more contemporary and powerful sound, and pressed on a limited edition 10” red vinyl. 

Originally released on Gigolo Records in the late '90s and early 2000s, both tracks quickly became underground anthems. Played by legendary DJs such as Dave Clarke, Sven Väth, and many others, they were also named Tracks of the Year by renowned techno publications like Groove magazine. 

With these two groundbreaking cuts, Terence Fixmer helped open a bold new chapter in the history of techno — giving birth to Techno Body Music (TBM), a genre blending the raw, industrial force of EBM with the driving energy of techno. Electrostatic, in particular, is considered a foundational track of this hybrid style. 

Now regarded as true techno classics, Electrostatic and Electric Vision have stood the test of time and are still played regularly by DJs worldwide, continuing to energize dancefloors decades after their release. 

This is the first official repress in over 20 years, and the first time these two cult tracks appear together on one record — sharper, louder, and more essential than ever.

Israel Is Committing Genocide. This Is A Fact, Not An Opinion.

At this point the only people who still deny that Israel is committing genocide are those who want to make sure nobody does anything to stop Israel from committing genocide.

A UN inquiry has found that Israel is committing genocide in Gaza, and that Israeli authorities have “intended to kill as many Palestinians as possible” in the enclave.

Israel has responded to the UN report by calling it Hamas and antisemitic, because that’s all they’ve got. The Israeli Foreign Ministry released a statement claiming the report was authored by “individuals serving as Hamas proxies, notorious for their openly antisemitic positions.”

Blah, blah, blah. The report is Hamas and antisemitic. All human rights organizations are Hamas and antisemitic. There’s a giant global antisemitic Hamas conspiracy dedicated to making it appear as though Israel is committing genocide, just to make Jewish people feel sad.

At this point the only people who still deny that Israel is committing genocide are those who want to make sure nobody does anything to stop Israel from committing genocide.

The list of humanitarian institutions who accuse Israel of genocide now includes : 

1. The United Nations Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory
2. The International Association of Genocide Scholars
3. B’Tselem (an Israeli organization)
4. Physicians for Human Rights-Israel (another Israeli organization)

The list of humanitarian institutions who say Israel is NOT committing genocide in Gaza includes:

7. Sweet damn all
8. A complete absence
9. Diddly squat
10. Bupkis

It is not okay to treat the fact that Israel is committing genocide like it’s a matter of opinion. Every relevant human rights institution on earth says it’s a genocide. Zero equivalent institutions say it’s not. This is a settled matter.

People who deny that it’s a genocide deserve to be taken exactly as seriously as flat earthers. They’re just an extremely evil and destructive version of the thing flat earthers are.

You don’t see news articles about NASA with journalists adding “an agency which many believe is a government hoax designed to trick us into accepting ball earth theory” to their reporting. If a guest mentions Antarctica on the BBC, the news anchor doesn’t interrupt them to say “and we should say here that flat earth theorists deny the existence of that continent, maintaining that it is actually a wall of ice holding the oceans in place.”

You also don’t see reporting which treats accepted science about space and our planet like it’s an opinion held by some. You never see “which many scientists claim exists” when a report discusses outer space, or mentions of the horizon mitigated with words like “which some hold is due to the curvature of the earth rather than laws of perspective and light refraction”. They’re just treated as established facts, and those who disagree with the established facts are not taken seriously.

The genocide in Gaza should be no different. As the old adage goes, if one side says it’s raining and the other says it isn’t, your job isn’t to quote both sides, your job is to look out the window.
The window’s right there, western media. And it’s pouring genocide.

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from Mala Herba. "Wiły (club remix)" comes off the new EP, Wounded Healer II, forthcoming from the solo project of producer, sound artist, and queer activist Zosia Holubowska. Wounded Healer II is a continuation of the LP Wounded Healer, released on October 10, 2024, via White Forest Records. The EP expands on the LP's themes by inviting spiritual practitioners and artists to create ritualistic or poetic responses to the original compositions. The new release includes four remixes by international producers: Porosty (PL), a retrofuturistic visual and sound artist; Gael (UA), a leftfield techno deconstructionist; Kaosmos (TR), an industrial narrative experimentator; and Restive Plaggona (GR), a dark ambient/techno fusion producer.

The release also features two club reworks by Mala Herba of ambient tracks from the original album, specifically Wily and Rusaleczki. Furthermore, it includes one riso-printed zine featuring ritual and poetic contributions in response to the tracks. These contributions include meditations, spells, and incantations.

Koenraad Ecker and Frederik Meulyzer make their Subtext debut with Carbon. 

Based on field recordings made at Norway’s Svalbard Global Seed Vault, a secure seed bank located on the island of Spitsbergen, Carbon grapples with the many contradictions that lie at the heart of our shift into the capitalocene. The project began in 2017, when Ecker and Meulyzer scored the performance “Frozen Songs,” a commission by Zero Visibility Dance Company led by Ina Christel Johannesen.

The Svalbard Global Seed Vault was conceived of as an effort to preserve copies of seeds from key crop varieties, ensuring their persistence in the event of large-scale crises. Yet the area is warming faster than anywhere else on earth, causing the permafrost to melt and putting the seed vault at risk. 

Across from the Seed Vault lie the decrepit remnants of Svalbard’s mining activities of the early 20th century; Carbon wrestles with the incongruities nestled in the town’s landscape. Reflecting on dissonances of stasis and change, closeness and distance, enclosure and expanse, as well as cynicism and hope, Ecker and Meulyzer consider the urgency of our situation while trying to sidestep all-too popular depictions of dystopia. In Ecker’s own words, “we don’t have the luxury to afford that kind of pessimism.” 

From close, supple sounds to cold, brutal sonics, Carbon meditates on the many challenging questions and contradictions raised by the Seed Vault and its surroundings—a landscape that embodies and makes visible the many intertwined phenomena that shape our current predicament.

Ecker and Meulyzer, formerly known as Stray Dogs, have released works such as Wasteland, recorded in deconsecrated church in Antwerp, and Kalkar, recorded in the cooling tower of a former power station in Germany. 

Koenraad Ecker works in the fields of electro-acoustic music, field recording, radio plays, stage performance and text. Together with Andrea Taeggi, he is part of the Opal Tapes-affiliated duo Lumisokea. His output encompasses studio albums, audiovisual installations, texts, performances, and sound design for film. 

Frederik Meulyzer is a percussionist active in projects including Belgian jazz band Hamster Axis of the One-Click Panther, contemporary music and theatre company Post uit Hessdalen, and experimental psych-krautrock band Slumberland.

The ecological impact of the production of this record will be compensated through a carbon offsetting program .

Music has the ability to place the listener in a real or imaginary geographical position, or to make him/her participate in a specific situation, or to convey a state of mind. Imaginary situations and realities that can be interpreted differently by each user, although normally it is the author himself who tries to infect the listener with his sound design, with previous work induced by the creativity of the artist. 

Damage Kontrol is Zan Heimer's debut album and a good example of how the artist is not just limited to creating music, but is much more involved with the environment of his work providing it with landscapes, atmospheres and even cinematic aspects, all within the dark and forceful context of industrial techno.

It is precisely Elysium, which is the opening track of this double album, that alludes to this cinematic aspect with an intro worthy of the soundtrack of an epic film in which somber harmonies are interspersed with imposing timpani. Chained To Extinction emerges from the chaos and confusion, hard and abrasive techno of syncopated metrics with a loud beat. Vertigo closes the A-side as Attila and his henchmen did, ending everything that gets in their way, with a disproportionate and marked aggressiveness.

Hell On Earth introduces you first to a story of a mysterious nature, but at the same time it also intersects with several other sensations that can be as distant as well-being and restlessness. Once again, Zan exposes a great ability to literally smash any hint of relaxation with a crushing punch.  Secrecy And Oppression completes the B-side along with Hell On Earth with an energetic and marked track from the first kick, which is the ruling element in this piece. Direct, hard techno with a hesitant atmosphere.

With War Of Rights we already enter the second album, this track stands out for the different perceptions that each listener can acquire and the subsequent disorientation that it can generate, and technically it stands out for the combination of its textures and the mixture of these with the rhythm. Void Of Existence immerses you in a vegetative state in which your mind prepares your body for battle. Constant rhythm with a great progression of the harmonic structures. With The Black Sacrament, Heimer once again shows his more rudimentary and solid charisma with a track that balances the intensity of the percussive part and the acidic elements with the great power provided by the other harmonic clusters.

Lack Of Empathy infiltrates the emotional disorder and soul isolation of the human being, the opacity and the bad vibrations. Perpetual chords with transitory ingredients that emerge and vanish along the panoramic line of the stereo. Nordica is the second cut on the D-side and the last one on this album. Initially, this track is not what it seems, since what happens later is not a mere extension of industrial cadence, since the base itself is enriched with a melodic arpeggio.
