A true veteran of Madrid’s fabled electronic scene, Roberto Gemelín takes the reins for local imprint Trauma Collective’s sixth missive. Known for releases since the late ‘90s on labels as diverse as Minifunk, Nehoma, Warm Up, and his own imprint Brainwaves, he returns with the first vinyl release under the Groof alias in 10 years - the Staca EP.

Whether its the industrial-grade broken beats of opener “Take A Break”, or the subterranean snarl of “Command” with its ominous swells underpinned by visceral kicks (perfect for those-heads-down moments) - the A side already showcases the diversity within Gemelín’s sonic repertoire. Over on the flip, he continues his onslaught with the functional and hypnotic title track and continues with the mind game of “Stay Puft”, awash in searing synth textures and mechanised rhythms. Finally "Crash!" slams you against the wall, right from the first beat, on this with this vehemently bruising techno workout.

Tresor is proud to present the debut split 12" from Chloe Lula and Ireen Amnes. Meeting in the darker, harder-edged side of the Berlin techno scene in 2019, the pair have regularly collaborated and performed together, but Synergy marks the first time they've shared a record sleeve. Amnes describes Synergy as "the world we built while thinking about our journey as friends and the connection we share as people and artists," and while the record highlights their relationship and shared influences, it also showcases how each has grown into their respective lane. 

Amnes' tracks lean into significantly more distorted territory, characterized by a dense fog of grainy pads punctured by sharp, expertly-programmed percussion. On "Our Bodies," these fragments are sculpted into driving hardware gear, replete with distant vocals and acidic squelches, where "Fragments of Desire" makes space for a more somber attitude, descending into murky, psychedelic electro. 

In counterpoint to Amnes' deep atmospherics, Lula's contributions are driven by intricate sound design and a focus on dancefloor impact. Taking cues from Regis and the Birmingham techno sound, she reins in the distortion of 2021's Errant Bodies for aufnahme + wiedergabe in favor of rolling techno and breakbeat-inspired rhythms that nod to her EBM influences. Making use of the extra space, she builds tension through heaving, textured basslines and crescendos of noise, and on EP closer "Event Horizon," she carves through the beat with her own metallic vocals. 

Synergy includes a digital bonus track from each artist. Lula's sees her pushing deeper into finely-tooled techno territory, her drums at a swift, driving gallop, surrounded by ominous swaths of reverb. In contrast, Amnes crafts a gritty warehouse trip, sharpening the angles of her drums and detuning her synths until they sound bent and alien. Complete with the EP's physical cuts, these tracks are a testament to how the pair can simultaneously complement and contrast with each other, departing from their shared sonic origins and ending up in wildly different destinations.

NODE is a platform that started in 2017 as a cycle of musical proposals in Barcelona, with events oriented towards the city's club scene and a sound expressly aimed at techno.  Among the objectives that were set from the beginning, it is worth highlighting the good atmosphere and the synchrony between the dancefloor and the stage, and always maintaining the habit of having national and international artists such as Anthony Linell, Shifted, Psyk, Svreca, ORBE, Architectural or Luigi Tozzi among many others in the booth.

This philosophy of always having different artists of great level for each event, is also transferred to their recording activity, as there is no release that is composed by a single author, each artist participates with a single track. 

Dario Duegra, who is at the helm of this project, founded NODE Recordings in 2020 as a fraction of the platform, maintaining and transmitting the identity of the musical concept. This September, coinciding with its third anniversary, the label launches Neural Haze, the first reference of this label released on vinyl format.
 
The Italian CONCEPTUAL opens with Selva Oscura, a cut that mixes intensity with the hypnotism caused by the continuous succession of patterns that modulate gradually. And this description can be perfectly applicable to the remaining 5 tracks, as Noir, by Dario Duegra, Dex31, a cut by the Argentinian Farceb, Thorax, by the Spanish producer ORBE, and No Fear, a track by the also Italian Sciahri, follow a similar pattern to the first cut, with linear techno and a lot of pressure. On the other hand, Out of Time, which is the closing track of the album and is signed by the Detroit artist Uun, is a much more mental and less solid techno, however, the psychological factor is basically created with a very detailed and elaborate combination of percussive elements, especially in terms of panning.

Justin K. Broadrick returns to Pi Electronics with his second full EP under the moniker "JK Flesh”.
This latest release also features a remix by the German industrial techno legend, Ancient Methods.

Diverging from his previous offering, "PI04," PI11 unveils JK Flesh's real slow burners— a crossover between industrial and dub-techno.

Ancient Methods' take on PI11.2  is a demonstration of his distinctive and trademark sound, perfectly transforming the depth of the original track into an industrial techno banger.

The 11th instalment of the Pi Electronics EP series brings together two titans of industrial aesthetics: a UK musician boasting four decades of cross-genre music-making and one of the scene's most respected DJs and producers. The record comprises three original tracks, along with the remix, pressed onto 180-gram black vinyl,  including an A5 insert. Additionally, two digital extra originals complement the physical release, providing a comprehensive sonic journey through Broadrick's work.

French producer, December, returns to Tresor with An Accident In Favor Of Human Life, the second part of his Transform project, which continues the exploration of themes such as hybridisation and the boundaries of the self that were undertaken in June 2023's What Remains of Us? 

Transform Part 2 finds December increasing the intensity of his output as the Industrial and electro influences in his musical crucible come to the fore adding a punching tungsten toughness to the beats, welded and riveted to myriad other sources including post punk, ambient, and musique concr&egrave;te adding a more melodic and emotional edge than the darker hues of Part 1. 

The product of this is a collection of juddering and staccato pieces that call to mind steampunk as much as the glittering sci-fi most often invoked by electronic works. 

As per the first instalment, the cover art of In Favor Of Human Life continues the ongoing creative partnership between December and visual artist Marie Qu&eacute;au whose photograph appears to show a human face that straddles the boundary between the familiar and unsettling. 

When Parts 1 &amp; 2 are listened to consecutively, as a complete work, elements in one half reverberate into the other revealing a refined pattern and a landmark work by an artist coming to a new peak of creative power.

December - An Accident In Favor Of Human Life

On this fifth and final instalment of the Time Crystals series, GDB takes the first turn with a fierce track, fittingly called Saw; its driving fundament alternated with rousing synths. Pyramidal Decode’s second track provides a break from the four to the flour patterns, before handing over to old friend of the label Uun, whose Seeking the End is a true peak time banger.

Polish Szmer has the honor to provide not only this EP’s last track but also for this entire series. He does so in the form of SEQ3, a track that embodies what Dynamic Reflections 15-year discography stands for in the first place: artists from all corners of the world, young and old, respecting what generations before them have built up while turning it into something new.

Eye of Agamotto is part of Dynamic Reflection’s 15 year anniversary celebration: Time Crystals. This is the last of the five EP’s. Own all five and an all new, visual piece of art will appear.

Having been producing and performing since 2010, Uun has been a staple of the techno scene for many years. His mind melting live performance have been featured at many institutions, including Movement Festival in Detroit, Tresor in Berlin, Khidi in Tbilisi, and Basement in NYC. Resident Advisor referred to this ability to work within many different imprints and styles as “quietly infiltrating techno”, and compared his music to the latter days of the Sandwell District.

He is perhaps best known as a producer, having released substantial work on some of the most respected underground techno labels, including Mord, Semantica, and Soma. The genre defining record store Hard Wax described Uun's sound as a "straight ahead techno juggernaut." He also has his own label titled Ego Death, where he releases his most genre defying material.
