Volkmire's Inferno file load test (Turbdity parameter modulation)

Test of Stillson Hammer Mark 3 and final Andore Jr. prototype. I'm not editing the sequence other than pushing the drum keys. I'm just twisting one of the Stillson's modulation knobs and the velocity control on the Andore. Oscillator is Piston Honda mk3, drum is SD909. Stillson parameters tested include octave, burst generator, external pitch modulation (with quantizer note mask editor), and the aux CV output on track 1 patched to the Andore's velocity input. Andore is in LPG mode.

Bionic Lester mk1.5

Simple demonstration of Argos Bleak's output rotation mode. CV source is 1 channel of Stillson Hammer playing random unquantized steps. Argos Bleak quantizes to dorian scale, delays some of the outputs(new feature in firmware 1.3), and sends CV to 3 oscillators (Hertz Donut, Piston Honda, Polivoks VCG.)

Argos Bleak Rotation

Using the IME Argos Bleak with its four channels arranged in a closed feedback loop, with delay. Absolutely no CV input to Argos bleak's quantizer is used, all pitch signals are generated through the feedback process. Synthwerks FSR-4 is used to control delay enable, quantizer enable, chord selection, and output rotation. The CV outputs control 1x Hertz Donut MKII and 1x Piston Honda MKII with low art enforcement provided by a Malgorithm MKII.

Argos Bleak Internal CV Feedback

Test of Stillson Hammer's new features in firmware version 2.0 (CV preset change, gate/burst trigger probability, step repeat). Four drum modules of various makes are patched into a mixer, with the four channels of Stillson Hammer triggering them with CV of various parameters. A Pressure Points is used to change the sequence preset, most are similar with small changes in CV assignments. All performance variations you hear are done by manually playing the CV A/B knobs and changing presets. The sliders or module knobs were not touched at all during this recording. CVA generally adds gate events or changes the probability of certain triggers, and CVB disrupts the timing of the sequence mostly through the new Step Repeat parameter.

Stillson Hammer Mk2 New Features Drum Test

Recording of the upcoming Piston Honda MKIII Dual Wavetable Oscillator. No patchcords. Features demonstrated include basic wave morphing, Thru-zero FM x-mod, unison detune, and voltage controlled preset morphing over 8 presets.

Piston Honda mk3 drone test

Test of Piston Honda Mark III with bipolar LFOs. The slow LFO modulations are assigned to the X, Y, and Z waveform axes whilst a human hand rotates the preset attenuator knob. The test is presented in three frequency ranges. The preset CV input also responds to negative voltages.

Piston Honda Mk3 LFO test

Test of Piston Honda Mk3's "classic waveforms" bank with oscillator link/unison modes. CV sources are stillson hammer, joystick axis generator, and human hands. It sounds suspiciously close to my two favorite digital synthesizers, and the waveforms only play a small part of that.

Hertz Donut Mark III random preset generator test

Test of normal bass note patch using Hertz Donut mark III. Oscillator outputs are gated through VCAs with no additional effects. A bank of 8 presets is demonstrated, with live sequencing by Stillson Hammer and manual control of resonant phase distortion and modulation depth. A velocity-sensitive envelope is used on the modulation depth input to add a percussive character. Halfway through the recording, the preset bank is demonstrated again in reverse order, with the auxiliary output mixed in (A+B operator signal for parallel FM algorithms)

Hertz Donut mark III normal note test

Test of Bionic Lester Mark III prototype (dual 12db/oct multimode digital filter with voltage controlled preset manager). Input signal is Piston Honda mark III in unison with LFO modulation of wavetable position.  Only one filter section is used. The input overdrive, resonance, and output mode mixing (continuous from LP -> BP -> HP -> notch -> allpass) are modulated manually. The cutoff frequency is modulated by a velocity-sensitive ADSR envelope from the Andore Jr. prototype sequenced by a Stillson Hammer mark II.

Bionic Lester mark III prototype test

Test of MK3 preset system. 1x Piston Honda, 1x Hertz donut each patched into one side of a Bionic Lester MK3. The preset inputs of all three modules are patched to an attenuated mix of a slow sine LFO and smooth random Wogglebug. You are listening to the two outputs of the Bionic Lester with some stereo panning. All modules are in morphing preset mode.

Test of a single 12db section of Bionic Lester mark III in lowpass mode. Two oscillators from Piston Honda III are processed through the filter, whose cutoff frequency is modulated by a velocity-sensitive ADSR envelope from Andore Jr. Envelope curve/time, velocity amount, filter resonance, and oscillator octave/wavetable are occasionally modulated by hand. The second half of the recording features the saturation/distortion built into the upper range of the Lester's gain control.

Bionic Lester III dynamic envelope test

Test of Bionic Lester's "other" filter modes. One filter is processing an organ sound from Piston Honda and the other is processing a Hertz Donut. The oscillator controls are not changed at all. The 6 CV input jacks on the Bionic Lester are assigned to various parameters and modulated by slow moving LFOs while human hands manipulate the cutoff, resonance, and filter mode controls with an emphasis on highpass and notch filtering.

Bionic Lester filter mode test

Demonstration of the new allpass and comb filter modes of Bionic Lester. The patch is simple. One Hertz Donut 3 is patched into both inputs of Lester(routed in parallel) and its fold/mod controls are sometimes turned. The Lester outputs are panned hard left and right. First, allpass phasing with added dry signal is demonstrated.  Then, positive comb feedback with varying delay line lengths, resting frequently to let the feedback develop. Last, negative comb feedback and more tweaking. No other effects (or Lester overdrive)were used. There is occasional LFO modulation of delay line length.

Demonstration of Kermit Mark III's tempo synced modulators. 4 channels are patched into the other modules while tempo division, channel amplitude, and waveform are performed. Other modules are Industrial Music Electronics Voice (Hertz Donut, Piston Honda, Bionic Lester), some reverb, and a persistent 80bpm kick drum.

A trigger signal multed to the preset inputs of all IME modules in a basic voice patch (Hertz Donut and Piston Honda into Bionic Lester, modulated by Kermit) with all modules responding to triggers with random patch generation.

Demonstration of the "Code Scan" oscillator mode. Multiple channels are set to this mode, with different placement throughout the stereo field. The address indices of the channels are modulated with another, internal LFO channel of Kermit - no patch cables other than the outputs!
