Some say the Promo Files are the most important body of work the hardcore scene has ever seen, captured in the legendary Last Man Standing album. And truth be told, when the first file dropped and the dust settled, people didn’t know what hit ‘em (some still don’t!). 

A unique collection of light meets dark, with influences from everywhere. Hailed for the file kick, celebrated for the floorfillers¬, and revered for the experiments. A complete anomaly in its days, that effortlessly stood the test of time. Promo had a vision for the sound of hardcore. There’s no bigger proof, then tracks like ‘What the Fuck’, ‘Vicious Circle’, ‘I Come Correct’ and… come on, do we need to continue? 

To honor the rightful Last Man Standing that is Promo in a deserving way, we created a unique project. 25 years of Promo files, 25 years of legendary tracks. To propel them into the here & now, we asked the biggest talents and larger than life legends to remix their favorite Promo track!

After her stand-out record Cathedrals in 2022 and performances across Europe, Australia, Asia, and the Americas, New York hardcore icon Kilbourne is back with more. Holding it down for the genre’s most extreme sounds, she has cemented her position as one of the most exciting new voices in hardcore.

Now, Kilbourne revs up the engine for Milkshake, her sophomore PRSPCT release. The title track is a filter-tweaking rager, with bouncing kicks and madness-inducing percussion. Sunshine Terror weds terror and serenity, a fleeting calm in the eye of a hurricane, while Plague Raver pays tribute to an especially unhinged period of nightlife in New York. Ignoring the T-99 Anasthasia stab mania, each track on Milkshake adds new orchestral stabs to the canon, from Verdi’s Dies Irae to John Williams’ film scores. The EP is rounded out by legendary darkcore producer Catscan’s remix of Milkshake, a club-ready anthem that recalls the explosive sound of his early catalog.

Infamous Hardcore /Techno label founded by pioneer techno legend Lenny Dee. ISR unleashed it's first 12 inch - PCP’s Crews ‘Mescalinium United’ - on an unsuspecting world back in 1991.

As the first Hardcore label in the world and one of the first electronic labels in the USA, the following Artists have appeared on the label - Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin, Laurent Garnier, Daft Punk, Manu Le Malin, Tony Thomas, The Mover, Cirillo, Casper Pound and Neil McLellan (a producer for 'The Prodigy’s).

ISR has also featured artists such as Oliver Chelser (‘The Horrorist”), Nasenbluten, Manu le Malin, Unexist, John Selway and Delta 9 And has recent releases from Satronica, Stormtrooper, Australia's Tymon, Moshpit, Broken Rules & Fiend and many more.

ISR's Sub-Labels include: Industrial Strength Limited, IST, Bastard Loud Records, Industrial Movement, Lenny Dee Records, High Density Recordings, House Without a Home, Ruff Beats, Industrial Strength Europe, Mental Venom and Machete.
