Outplay’s third vinyl release will be from young Mancunian artist Loz Goddard. With releases on Large Music and Editorial he has been making a great impression with his combination of disco and beatdown house. A well balanced blend between samples and synth work makes this a varied EP and a great showcase for Loz’s sound. Outplay’s own Fouk takes care of the remix, turning the lush “It Will Come To Me” into a solid dance floor track with added bass line groove.

Introducing Kon‘s forthcoming compilation album ‘Kon & The Gang‘, we are delighted to present this 12″ sampler featuring two incredible cuts taken from the LP, as well as an exclusive remix from Kon

Opening track ‘Timeless’ could hardly be more aptly named. Sublime, smokey piano touches on the intro give way to an uplifting, languid disco track, jammed full of sunshine. Catchy vocal snippets, rock solid bass and guitar licks build up the groove beautifully alongside Kon‘s trademark staccato, squelchy synth chord stabs. On the flip-side Kon presents a remix of his own track ‘Timeless’. Highlighting piano loops and synth stabs from the original version, his rework moves the track seamlessly into Deep House territory, with smoothly rolling percussion and a hypnotic arrangement.

Truccy (better known as Compost’s Rainer Trüby and Corrado Bucci) close out proceedings with ‘Closer’, another sun-drenched groove with definite Balearic touches. Jazzy chords and touching vocals (performed by the duo themselves with assistance from Nicolas “Michael Ellis” Rogoll) lend the track a distinctly ‘live’ feel.

A delicious taste of what’s to come from ‘Kon & Gang<‘, this limited 12″ is surely going to be essential listening this summer.

Jazz & Milk pays tribute to this classy release format with their new 12” vinyl series. Each record comes in a hand silk-screened printed and stamped sleeve! The series starts off with members of the label family - Vienna’s Sam Irl and the man behind Jazz & Milk, Dusty. The two not only share a good friendship, but also the love for raw and sample-based house music tunes produced on the MPC. “Pick Up The Pieces” is driven by a rough bass drum, filthy dub vocal samples, harmonic synth chords and a bassline that makes you bounce. On the flipside, “Drift” has a rather moody vibe but nonetheless dancefloor potential. The track is a beautiful collage piece consisting of plenty sample fragments which doesn’t fail to pull you in its spell like a drift through otherworldly spheres... So let’s pay tribute to good music and Tom Moulton’s legacy - the 12” single!
