The woods in our modern context is the city and we're tasked with remembering where home is. By home I mean home, home. Ni songo gela is Venda for 'don't get lost or don't lose your way'.

Dumazile (Zimbabwe, 1990) is a song written by Nongoma's parents Themba and Bajabulile Ndlovu founders of the band Children of Nandi. Dumazile speaks about the stigma surrounding HIV and how it affects the sufferer and those around them. It also serves as a metaphor for  the 'chosen' child that goes through a traumatic series of events before submitting to the calling and how that process affects both them and those around them.

This version of Dumazile is a Live Recording of the performance of the song at ALT BLK CONTINUA series (curated by Msaki) held at The Velvet Lounge in East London in late 2018.
