Is dark funky back? Kaval is working hard to revive this more or less forgotten genre.

In contrast to the enthusiastic nature of most of the tracks in the main UK Funky genre, the darker sub-genre has a much more ominous atmosphere and more minimalist rhythms. Sometimes very Uk funky, sometimes close to grime, Uk techno, early dubstep or even hard drum. It's this side that I wanted to revive by concocting these tracks at different tempos.

Always using my usual process: MPC, Samples, Ragga-Dancehall vocals, Drums , texture & video game sfx!
