Sam Goku - Fishers Theme (Ineffekt's Azalea Version)

Following the success of Ineffekt’s 2021 debut album ‘Kora’, the 20-year-old broadens his horizon by exploring hypermodern contemporary music and takes influence from all over, most notably art pop and experimental hiphop, as well as hints from a new wave of colorful electronica that has been developing in recent years. The result is ‘Catch The Sun / A Blackbird Rose’, fresh from the hand of the young artist.

‘Catch The Sun’ takes instantly catchy vocal hooks, guitar basslines, and a constant groove that show Ineffekt’s versatile range of influences. Taking parts of breakbeat, rave, and pop, and interlacing them into a fully fleshed-out sound. The contrast between eras and stylistically diverse ideas gives the track a unique approach.

With its electric synths, gritty basslines, and booming drums, ’A Blackbird Rose’ shows Ineffekt exploring a much more raw and conceptual take on his brand of dance music. It’s abstract, yet there’s a real sense of urgency running through the track that keeps you on the edge of your seat.

While the two-track dive back into his signature driving breakbeats, pitched vocal melodies, and pop-influenced electronic music, there is a real sense of focus and progression in the larger scheme of Ineffekt’s journey.

Ineffekt - Catch The Sun

From somewhere that is nowhere, traumgarten presents Virgin Forest – 21 sonic renditions of unadulterated beauty emerging from their cocoons for the first time. Insulated from the dogma of mass consciousness, every track is its own unique sanctuary, yielding only to the creative urges of its maker. Our second benefit compilation harvests the dreams of globally and cosmically diverse protagonists, with otherworldly sounds spanning the spectrum, from ambient meditations and percussive tribal fantasia to bass heavy club concoctions and glitched-out grooves. An ode to parallel universes, dormant desires, and all the unexplored paths of our finite existence.

All proceeds from this compilation will be split between three organisations: Alianza Arkana, a grassroots organization committed to the protection, development and wellbeing of the Peruvian Amazon and the indigenous Shipibo-Konibo peoples; Everyday Refugees, a foundation that aids refugees, local communities, and people internally displaced by war; and Bridges Over Borders, a community-based collective offering support to BIPoC, LGBTQIA+, and other marginalised individuals fleeing Ukraine.

Following up the success of her debut self-produced EP, "Kitchen Sink", Berlin-based Sable takes a leap into the world of pop music with her latest single, "Long Hot Summer". Drawing on a love for the likes of Caroline Polachek, Christine and the Queens, and classic pop icon Robyn, she pairs glossy electronic instrumentation with chirpy percussion, taking a step away from the dark, post-dub inspired beats of her earlier tracks.

The single comes with 2 remixes from emerging electronic producer/DJs Ineffekt and GoodMostlyBad. 

Hailing from the Netherlands, Ineffekt takes influence from all over, most notably art pop and experimental hiphop, as well as hints from a new wave of colorful electronica that has been developing in recent years. His latest release, "Catch the Sun / A Blackbird Rose" came out on Intercept in April 2022. GoodMostlyBad is a DJ, producer and radio host based in Doha. Her productions are a realm of intimate thoughts, discoveries, and experiences of a woman navigating through life on her terms.

Long Hot Summer (Ineffekt's Dawning Mix)

DGTL Records shines through the midsummer heat with the latest offering from Coloray. ‘Blinded’ is the 21st DGTL Records release and is a compelling 80s inspired emotive track that's soaked in sun-drenched synths, soaring melodies, and Coloray's own vocals. The artist has long been a unique entity in the world of dance music due to the focus he places on songwriting. 'Blinded' is no different, which centres around the vast emotions he felt once the world opened up post-pandemic

Built for summer stages, the original has already become a hit across dancefloors and now the release enters its second phase with a stunning remix package. Stepping up to rethink the track is Dutch superstar Colyn, fast rising UK talent Giulia Tess, Rekids' very own Mona Yim, and an artist on the rise from Coloray's own Intercept label - Ineffekt. Each artist takes 'Blinded' in their own unique electronic direction - from the transcending qualities delivered from Colyn, to the up-tempo, breakbeat infused vision of both Giulia Tess and Mona Yim. Whilst Ineffekt's cascading version places manipulated vocals alongside the orginal to create a whole new sonic landscape and a truly enticing journey which looks set to take clubs by storm this Summer.

Blinded Remixes

PREMIERE : Coloray - Blinded (Ineffekt's Cascading Version)

Following the release of @Ineffekt 's debut album 'Kora’, Dutch virtuoso producer @oceanicocean patched together multiple tracks from the album to form his 'Patchwork' remixes; a duo of tracks that show two sides of the same coin. Patchwork #1 takes vocals pieces from both Vesper and Vibrant Bands of Yellow and morphs them into a gorgeous rhythmic piece that soothes the ears and catches the heart. #2 further expands the rhythms into a track that makes for a great dance starter. Combining the emotive foundation that was laid out in the original songs with a meditative backbone that makes
for a dream-like escapade.

Ineffekt and Tsepo both make their return to Intercept, but this time as a duo. ''After we met at a Bicep show in Paradiso, Amsterdam and got to know each other more, we noticed our taste was slowly moving closer to each other. We exchanged two unfinished tracks, and the rest was history. The EP came about faster than anything we've ever done; you can hear that. We didn't overthink it but had fun which shone through on the tracks. For us, that has been a big lesson. It's an unconventional fusion of music heard on the two-tracker, making for a refreshing sound.'' - Tsepo & Ineffekt

@Ineffekt cleverly approaches sound design with an enigmatic attitude that makes him difficult to pin down and equally hard to ignore. Through a blend of satin vocals, dreamlike melodies and instantly distinctive drum patterns, his productions result in colourful euphoria made for peak-time dancefloors. 

New single, ‘The Light’, is a sugary club cut with an experimental edge as Ineffekt explains: “For this new record it wasn’t so much going in and making music with a purpose. It leaned much more on songwriting and trying to find exciting rhythms that would catch the ear. The Light is the perfect example of that process. Taking inspiration from club music but approaching it with a songwriter’s mind. It’s a song from the heart, not the brain.”

Priding himself on drawing from influences that span the full spectrum of contemporary music, Ineffekt’s music reaches for stylistically diverse sounds including breakbeat, techno and alt-pop, as well as hints from a new wave of colourful electronica that has been developing in recent years. Having stirred significant interest in his native country of The Netherlands for his debut releases Kora (Album, 2021) and ‘Catch The Sun / A Blackbird Rose’ (EP, 2022) on Intercept, as well as a string of remixes including Coloray's ‘Blinded’ and Luna Morgenstern’s ‘Click Work Drop’, Ineffekt is primed to take his pop-flavoured electronica to the masses.

The past two years of work resulted in esteemed artists and platforms in the left-field embracing his output and within his short career, Ineffekt has already supported the likes of Avalon Emerson, Bicep, Bonobo, Mall Grab, Saoirse and Roi Perez as well as shelling down sets at DGTL, Lowlands, Best Kept Secret, Dekmantel Selectors and prominent Dutch clubs De School and WAS. This summer, Ineffekt will be sharing festival stages with the likes of HAAi, Ben UFO, Sedef Adasi, Job Jobse and Honey Dijon amongst many others.
