DVS NME, is an Electro music producer/deejay & post punk enthusiast hailing from Colorado, has been actively producing since 2000. 
Renowned for his unwavering commitment to the Electro sound, he is curating the weekly mix series DARK SCIENCE ELECTRO since 2010.

For RR041 we are joined by Tygre, a.k.a. Andreas, who ventured into DJing back in 1995, starting his musical journey crafting mix tapes and spinning drum and bass in Philadelphia's underground rave scene. Currently based in San Francisco, Andreas combines his love for music with his studies in computer science. Operating under the alias Tygre (@djtygre), he immersed himself in the darker realms of electro, techno, and drum and bass from 1997 to 2000. After a prolonged hiatus, Tygre, inspired by the hypnotic sounds of electro, techno, and drum and bass, is back to spread his passion for music, the art of mixing, and the creation of mesmerizing sonic journeys.

For much of her career the elusive Annechoic has operated in the shadows, balancing her time between her work in film post-production and running the highly regarded extinct cult label Audiofugitives with Schizolectric since 2012.
 
She has also produced a secret arsenal of music that we have only gotten a glimpse at on her own label and more recently with releases for Brokntoys, Endless Illusion, System Revival, Severn Electronics and Futurepast. Her DJ sets have been highly regarded for the intelligent flow across electro, techno and ambient - which ultimately brought her to gain the residency at Enigma in 2020.
 
Both as a producer and DJ, Annechoic wishes to explore the relationships between rhythm and melody primarily within electro but not confined to it. Her music ranges from soft ambient themes all the way through to darker syn-thetic soundscapes with an emphasis on razor sharp techno-electro aiming to trigger a deep emotional reaction in the listener.

Strange But Dance Music #183: Annechoic

This month's selection is a tribute mix to DIE GESTALTEN, an artist I know very little about other than the music that comes out from behind the name is exceptional and quite unique, instantly recognisable and distinct from the crowd. The juxtaposition of classical strings and the robotic percussion produces such beautiful, melancholic, powerful electro tracks, harnessing both the sounds of the past and the future. Enjoy!

DJ & Producteur Radio résidant dans la charmante ville de Die dans la Drôme.

Complètement fondu de musique jusqu'à la moelle, très tôt nourri au hip hop, aux musiques électroniques, à tous les styles de jazz, de funk, de rock, de bass music, de breakbeats, à la musique du Monde et à toutes sortes de fusions et de mélanges, je me suis rapidement retrouvé avec des platines entre les mains et une pile de disques de plus en plus volumineuse qui m'ont naturellement amené à vouloir partager, sensibiliser, cultiver et faire danser.

Au fil des années, jouant dans les soirées aux côtés de mes copains KaMiKaZe, Låxe, Romain Guitet ou Goldi, j'aime refléter mes influences très larges dans mes DJ sets. Ayant grandi à Paris et passé une partie de mon temps à Berlin, la vie nocturne et les clubs m'ont aussi donné un coup de foudre pour la techno et la house que j'aime tout spécialement jouer en tant que DJ.

Aujourd'hui résidant dans le sud de la France, entre Provence et montagne, je continue "au vert" d'assouvir ma passion musicale en produisant avec mon compère Goldi l'émission "BACK 2 BACK" et, en solo à partir de 2024, l'émission "APÉRO STÉRÉO" sur RDWA 107.5 FM (Diois, Drôme) et de jouer de temps à autres dans les bars et les soirées locales.

DJ & Radio Producer based in the charming town of Die in Drôme, France.

A music fanatic to the core, I was brought up at an early age on hip hop, electronic music, all styles of jazz, funk, rock, bass music, breakbeats, world music and all kinds of fusions and mixes. I soon found myself with turntables in my hands and an ever-growing stack of records, which naturally led me to want to share, educate, cultivate and get people dancing.

Over the years, playing at parties alongside my buddies KaMiKaZe, Låxe, Romain Guitet and Goldi, I like to reflect my wide-ranging influences in my DJ sets. Having grown up in Paris and spent part of my time in Berlin, the nightlife and club scene also led me to fall in love with techno and house, which I especially enjoy playing as a DJ.

Now living in the south of France, between Provence and mountains, I continue to indulge my musical passion "au vert", producing the "BACK 2 BACK" radio show with my mate Goldi and, solo from 2024, the "APÉRO STÉRÉO" radio show on RDWA 107.5 FM (Diois, Drôme), as well as playing the occasional gig in local bars and parties.
