A long-standing name within the European electronic music landscape with over two decades of experience in the booth, Liège-based DJ and producer Jean-Yves Avarello, aka AAvA, continues to evolve as an artist. Making his production debut in 2012, he welcomed early support from artists such as Dubfire, Richie Hawtin, Roger Sanchez, DJ Sneak, and Nicole Moudaber, quickly establishing his presence as a producer within the worlds of house and techno. Next up for him, early June welcomes a debut outing on Butane’s renowned Little Helpers imprint as he reveals a seven-track mini-album project, showcasing his deep and diverse range as an artist.
 
“During 2020 my productions in lockdown spanned different styles I like, which is showcased across this EP for Little Helpers. I hope this ‘mini-album’ will make you travel through different styles and emotions as much as it does for me.” - AAvA
 
Combining a wealth of sounds and influences from across multiple genres, ‘Little Helpers 379’ sees a melting pot of styles from across the electronic world. From the slow-blooming, melodic opener’ Little Helpers 397-1’ to the eastern-influenced, groove-driven sounds of ‘Little Helper 379-2’ and ‘Little Helper 379-3’, AAvA’s skill for weaving rich and resonant melodies with crisp percussion patterns quickly becomes apparent.
 
‘Little Helpers 397-4’ ups the energy and delves deeper, utilising an ever-evolving web of organic percussion arrangements whilst introducing rich keys, subtle vocals, and sweeping synths throughout ‘Little Helpers 379-5’. To close ‘Little Helpers 379-6’ builds things up again as refined kicks and warped vocals float around murky low-ends, before rounding things out via the slinking, infectious tribal grooves of ‘Little Helper 379-7’.

Nottingham-based producer Lee Eden, AKA Animist, brings a dope re-rub of a Blue Boy classic from ’95 for Phil Weeks' Robsoul Recordings.
Plucky jazz bass and finger-clicking swing meet crisp and punchy percussion on Sandman, as Animist utilises The Undisputed Truth vocal to perfection to create a smooth key-laden, horn-fuelled funker. Dancefloor perfection. 
Too Much rolls with a techier bump as two-step aesthetics, deep bassline and razor-sharp hi-hats drop us into a teasing break,  only to explode like a glitter bomb with some French Touch flair. 
Animist joins forces with Chubz & Nukem to close the release with ‘You Found Me.’ A polished and positive slice of modern house.

Sighting, Evidence, Contact... Fourth Phase. That's the new project from our family member Daniel Lera alongside Juan Carlos Guzman. The Spaniard and the Colombian are getting support from the top artists and labels, 12+1 London also to contribute to this project releasing 3 original tracks from the duo. Extremely hypnotic bass-lines, old school vibes mixed with eclectic synths plus a groovy remix with some touches between funky and house from the label boss, u z z v, is also included on this four track EP called 'Trying To Force Its Way'.

Kittball welcome Raumakustik who join forces with Andrew Meller for a tasteful two tracker that hits hard.

Raumakustik are based in Dresden, much like Kittball, and is a duo with an incredible decade in the game behind them having delivered searing tech house on labels such as Hot Creations, Safe Music and Sola. Now for the next release, they get collaborative with Andrew Meller, a new school talent making waves with his own signature bustling house production, which have been picked up by the likes of Saved and Glasgow Underground. Between them they really cook up some serious house heat on ‘The Funk EP'.

'The Funk' kicks off with rib-rattling kick drums that reverberate the earth, a trippy synth sequence then grows in the mix and becomes the main focus during an atmospheric break down. 'Melodica' offers a different mood with its loose beats and glitchy hands claps all finished off with a freaky lead line.
