One of Australian music’s defining voices and enigmatic songwriters, Kav Temperley of Eskimo Joe has announced his debut solo release, Hope Street EP out September 9 on Inertia Music. Hope St proves a defining document in both Temperley’s life and career – a demarcation line between relationships of yonder and a voice masked behind the rock’n’roll facade.

Largely recorded in his home studio, Temperley enlisted Pip Norman (Troye Sivan, Jarryd James, Tuka, Dan Sultan) on co-production duties – a relationship that developed into a sublime collaboration.

MNDR's rise from the underground has been an impressive journey thus far. Just three months after MNDR’s 2010 EP release, ‘E.P.E’, she was already appearing alongside Q-Tip on Mark Ronson’s global smash, "Bang Bang Bang", which sold more than 3.5 million copies and helped introduce the world to Warner and Wade's smart, hooky songwriting.

Amanda would tour Australia with Mark Ronson for Future Music Festival 2011, also performing exclusive club shows in Sydney and Melbourne that would be attended by The Chemical Brothers and Spank Rock. 

When the time came to make decisions about MNDR’s debut album, Warner and longtime collaborator, Peter Wade, made the choice to keep the album sounding dark and industrial, not spit-shine pop. “Pop music is a platform to say something,” says Warner. “You don't have to only talk about parties." The resulting album thus goes to tireless efforts to translate raw emotions into music that grooves without excess glitter. 

The album’s swoon-worthy summer jams only solidify MNDR’s status as one of 2012’s most exciting and innovative new artists!
