EQUAL014 brings two forces together to combine their strengths.

Fractious, the UK-based producer, has been a fixture on the international techno scene for years. His
sound is raw, hypnotic, and driving with modulating synths that creep under your skin and drum
patterns that leave you gasping for air. Releases on Special Series, KD RAW, and his own label RAW
WORX speak for themselves.

Inez Akker, with Spanish roots and based in Amsterdam, has consistently and independently made a
name for herself in the Dutch underground scene since 2018, where she is resident at Techno
Tuesday Amsterdam and has performed at some of the country’s leading clubs and festivals
(Melkweg, Radion, PIP, Toffler, Lief, Sneeuwbal). Her productions cast a hypnotic spell with driving
grooves and a strong inner drive that tells a story rather than just pounding.

On EQUAL014, the two meet on equal footing. Fractious raw sounds hypnotically merge with Inez
Akker’s dark grooves. Each completes the entire work through their own tracks. The result is not a
compromise, but a genuine dialogue between two voices that understand each other without
conforming.
