A word from the label: 

Making the Dispersion EP was a really exciting, challenging ride: all of that went into the 4 tracks, that are - essentially - techno inspired? We went heavy on the IDM buildups and breaks, but took care to execute them with maximum fidelity to sound. So far the music was appreciated by our fam AliA, Shifted/Carrier, Dave N.A. and Martyn, and we hope you'll enjoy it just as much as they did. 

All mastering credits go to Tangible Air, we have our long time friend Ibert Pauwels to thank for the spacey graphic design, and are stoked for the release (vinyl & digital) on 1st September 2023. 

It’s coming out on our new label no•id, curating hard-hitting & unrestrained electronic music with discretion.

PREMIERE: Freq444 — First Contact (no•id, 2023)

After 12 years of listening to electronic music and partying and dancing at various electronic parties, I was almost forced to get behind the decks. 
To be honest, I was always well served with the parties of the last years, so there was no desire to put myself in the center and start some own, small project. 
Anyway, after three months of experimenting, searching for music and everything else you do as a newbie, a set was created that is very personal to me. 
Music is and will be one of my biggest loves, so I found the track from Catacombs very fitting and I assume music is also what you need. At least if you have managed to get to Haus Mainusch.
The set consists partly of tracks I found by digging through soundcloud over the last years. A few classics are in there too. Especially @skreamizm in particular had to be represented with at least one track, because everything started with him and dubstep in the early 2010s for me, as it was probably also the case for you.
I got to hear @grawinkel and @soukah at the last Chrome parties in Darmstadt, by the way a party series that shaped me a lot to deal with Dubstep and not DnB or Techno, although the other two music genres are also heavily represented in my life.
At the party, I also got to hear the @hamdiofficialmusic tracks once each. Counting was definitely played by @bukezfinezt.
@ivylab - great love. If I were producing myself, I would go exactly in that direction. But I prefer to leave that to the professionals. Suzuki not my favorite track, but one of good ones. Not much choice with 140bpm with Ivy Lab at the moment sadly.
Big love for @deepdarkdangerous - unfortunately not many tracks made it. But more to come for sure.
The rest of the tracks, without naming them all now, had one goal: deep bass and drag to get your dancing leg swinging.
I was allowed to play this set thanks to @voynich-music on 02.09.23 in Mainz at Haus Mainusch to people willing to dance.
It was a pleasure for me. 
And since this was a very special moment, I recorded and memorialized the set. 
With this set, you can hopefully cheer along at home or simply refresh your memories of 02 September at the next pre-drinking session.

Bootleg Trails are the paths we create where public ways don’t serve us.
We take them to leave predetermined patterns, as shortcuts to desired destinations and to transport valuables. They promise adventure and lead us to places we don't find in a travel guide.

I would love to tread new paths to explore subculture and connect scenes through sharing sonic travel reports with music-enthusiastic globetrotters.
Each Bootleg Trail leads to different regions where we listen to latest and forthcoming releases while being introduced to up-and-coming artists and collectives.
Through music selections and interviews we also get to know sound systems that will take your breath as soon as you enter their latitudes and discover cultural spaces you better put on your map.

Bootleg Trails are dedicated to DJ and MC culture in global bass and sound system music.
They shall be a way for communities to represent themselves, as well as a connection for exchange between bass, hip-hop and techno.
For each show two to three DJ’s, producers or vocalists are invited to guide a stage of the journey in the form of contributing a guest mix or performing their lyrics. DJ mixes featuring new and forthcoming music and from time to time, lyrical performances are also contributed by me. Occasionally we might listen to cuts of high-energy events with field recorded space taking us straight to the crowd on local dance floors.

Tico is spoiling us with new and older favorites spiced up with 2 recent collaborations with Demegy. On a slower tip somewhere in between Dubstep, Dub Techno and Drum & Bass.

Old Man Crane delivers a set of percussive, dubby and technoid tunes she has not played yet including some new and unreleased tracks.

LXC mixed Bassmæssage, 45Seven & Alphacut Dubs in summer 2024 featuring vibezig fammalay, forthcomings and sum goldies from their cutalogues. Bassmæssage is the oldest and most consistent bass night in town. alphacut records is the only experimental jungle label in the german speaking area with 45seven joining the dubby soundsystem forces on dinked singles.

lxc (it/its) is tinking audio since the nineties. started producing and playing live, launching a bunch of labels and discovered mastering, mixdown and lathe cuts along the way. also helping out at some subby nights around Leipzig and beyond.

Introducing two sub-saxon local matadors.

Besides djing and managing culture in his area GÖRG ( @_g8rg_ ) also hosts the annual Untenrum bass music night with Lorem Ipsum Soundsystem at BASTA in Görlitz.
At the Bootleg Trails base camp he delivered a fiery mix of wonky, chill and alarming Dubstep tunes on vinyl.

On 28th of December an event called “Family Treasures” took place at objekt klein a ( @objektkleina ) in Dresden’s industrial district. It’s a revived Christmas tradition of the collective Deeper Access ( @dpr_xs ). 
In the second half of this Bootleg Trail you can hear FORV3RT ( @erik_forv3rt )  increasing the tempo from Grime to Drum’n’Bass during the final set of this local scene meeting.
