New episode of Bootleg Trails is taking us to Leipzig with three subby mixes by BSSMSSG crew members.

Tico is spoiling us with new and older favorites spiced up with 2 recent collaborations with Demegy. On a slower tip somewhere in between Dubstep, Dub Techno and Drum & Bass.

Old Man Crane delivers a set of percussive, dubby and technoid tunes she has not played yet including some new and unreleased tracks.

LXC mixed Bassmæssage, 45Seven & Alphacut Dubs in summer 2024 featuring vibezig fammalay, forthcomings and sum goldies from their cutalogues. Bassmæssage is the oldest and most consistent bass night in town. alphacut records is the only experimental jungle label in the german speaking area with 45seven joining the dubby soundsystem forces on dinked singles.

lxc (it/its) is tinking audio since the nineties. started producing and playing live, launching a bunch of labels and discovered mastering, mixdown and lathe cuts along the way. also helping out at some subby nights around Leipzig and beyond.

Cognitive Decline delivers a dope selection of heavy grooves and 140 stompers calling you to attend the next dubstep freeparty in the outskirts of Prague.

To round things up Danny Scrilla shares a snippet of his set for “Call of Eternity” in Dresden two years ago. The mix contains dubstep and garage classics, including some of his own monumental productions.

Introducing two sub-saxon local matadors.

Besides djing and managing culture in his area GÖRG ( @_g8rg_ ) also hosts the annual Untenrum bass music night with Lorem Ipsum Soundsystem at BASTA in Görlitz.
At the Bootleg Trails base camp he delivered a fiery mix of wonky, chill and alarming Dubstep tunes on vinyl.

On 28th of December an event called “Family Treasures” took place at objekt klein a ( @objektkleina ) in Dresden’s industrial district. It’s a revived Christmas tradition of the collective Deeper Access ( @dpr_xs ). 
In the second half of this Bootleg Trail you can hear FORV3RT ( @erik_forv3rt )  increasing the tempo from Grime to Drum’n’Bass during the final set of this local scene meeting.

✱ SWINE PREMIERE ✱ @entranas and @mijinec teamed up for new EP by Entrañas - "Criaturas" for @markhamroad

This latest endeavor, brought together by @entranas, offers an inspired take on traditional Ecuadorian rhythms like Bomba and Albazo. Criaturas, as the name suggests, dives into various animalistic tendencies, showcasing them across five heavy-hitting tracks.

The EP begins with the track "Vibora", a collaborative track between Entrañas and fellow Quiteño, MIJIN. Sitting at 140 bpm, it makes for a fitting mid-paced entry to the release. Highlighted by cowbell and vocal chops galore, Vibora stands out equally for home listening and crowd retention alike. Like the title, this track is omnious and dangerous, in a typical @entranas production style 😈

Alas, spring is finally here… and while we’re at it, so is MR007)) This latest endeavor, brought together by Entrañas, offers an inspired take on traditional Ecuadorian rhythms like Bomba and Albazo. Criaturas, as the name suggests, dives into various animalistic tendencies, showcasing them across five heavy-hitting tracks.

The third track in the project, Rata, cruises calmly around 100 bpm and is characterized by three distinct sections. These sections offer a certain versatility to selectors looking to add another weapon to their toolboxes, and with its distinct traditional patterning it offers a variety and nuance that we have yet to have seen at Markham Road. Alas, spring is finally here… and while we’re at it, so is MR007)) This latest endeavor, brought together by Entrañas, offers an inspired take on traditional Ecuadorian rhythms like Bomba and Albazo. Criaturas, as the name suggests, dives into various animalistic tendencies, showcasing them across five heavy-hitting tracks.

Sapo (frog), as described by the artist, is someone who likes to gossip. As a final scathing exclamation point for the project, Sapo joins us in two forms: the first being a 160 bpm tidal wave from Entrañas, and the second a grime-riddled remix from Rizla Ops. Both cuts employ various dancefloor tactics to stir movement inside and outside the booth, and we couldn’t imagine a better sonic marriage of label friends, both new and old. We’re particularly fond of the crescendo nature of both tracks as they warp through the speakers and are feeling lucky that they’ve found a home here at the Road

Slacker's You Don't Care gets a spin courtesy of Europe’s other mega metropolis. Paris-based De Grandi morphs You Don’t Care into a step-friendly basstech track in his latest remixing endeavor. In this remix, two heavy driving sections are laced together by a rather introverted bridge to allow dancers to regain their footing. As per the rest of the project, the remix maintains elements of the original vocal chop while introducing new percussive and rhythmical accoutrement.
