J Phi (then Justice) wrote "Power Struggle In Heaven" in 2014 during a time of deep betrayals, doubt, and self-reflection. The mixtape, a follow-up to his 2013 solo debut "Shadowboxer," was originally released to DatPiff during the Digital Mixtape Era.

The site shut down circa 2021-2023 and Phi lost much of his early discography. Thankfully, a chunk of his second solo mixtape was recovered. Lexi Banks produced this early playlist which contains some of Phi's breakout tracks, namely 'Dough Rey Me' with Infamous Skizza Reyven. The song introduced him to Duval's core underground after debuting with his first rap group, The Black Tribe, the year before. This is some of the earliest J Phi music available.

J Phi wrote this project in an effort to criticize the ruthless and complacent Duval County underground rap scene with intentions of severing ties with artists that had developed fake friendships and superiority complexes in their dealings and interactions with him over the years of his illustrious underground career.

While J Phi doesn't necessarily feel the same way now as when these records were written in 2019 but regrets nothing. Some of the artists targeted in this musical time capsule no longer make music while some have reconciled their differences, even collaborated with J Phi since.

"Gawd Speed," produced by Bluff Gawd (one of Jacksonville, Florida's hardest working producers), features many of J Phi's usual suspects as well as his younger, estranged sister. The album was released on her 26th birthday, 1/11/2020, with its playlist totaling at 1 hour, 11 minutes, and 26 seconds.

Following up J Phi's freshman underground solo album "Gawd Speed" is this duo project produced, again, by Bluff Gawd in a collaborative effort with Duval County's BigRayTheRapper. The album itself served as a bar-for-bar friendly competition between a pair of Jacksonville, Florida rappers that were, respectively, becoming lyrical behemoths in their own rights.

Year later, J Phi and BigRayTheRapper still collaborate occasionally. BigRayTheRapper is one of J Phi's favorite Duval underground artists with numerous projects worth listening to. "Afro Samurai" with Offbeat Ninja is Phi's favorite BigRay project. "Gawdzilla" released on J Phi's 29th birthday, 9/12/2020.

From early 2021 to late 2022, J Phi had briefly retired from writing music in Duval County's underground. With support from his underground peers, Phi came out of retirement with the help of Bluff Gawd (who produced both "Gawd Speed" and "Gawdzilla" in 2020).

On his 31st birthday, 9/12/2022, J Phi returned with "The Akatsuki Tape" detailing pieces of his underground career between 2013-2016 from the perspectives of his favorite anime villains, The Akatsuki, from the series "Naruto: Shippuden" in their final moments.

"Entropy 101" is a short lesson in how being the flaw in a mechanism, in this case Hip Hop's underground industry, can serve to your advantage if you stay true to yourself and your craft.

This Bluff Gawd produced EP serviced a great accolade in J Phi's underground career, released Friday the 13th of Dec. 2024, where the then 33 year old became the first Duval County underground rap artist to successfully release 100 songs in one year's time (Feb. 8th, 2024 to Feb. 8th, 2025).

Jacksonville, Florida's best kept secret, 'J Phi' (formerly 'Justice' and 'Justice JPhi') has a massive underground discography spanning across the "Digital Mixtape Era." This SoundCloud page is home for all of Phi's home studio quality projects while professionally mixed/mastered music is available on streaming platforms and YouTube.

'Phi' began writing rap music in 2000, officially joining his 1st rap group based out of Black Pine, "The Black Tribe," alongside 'ALPHV' (formerly 'J. Alpha-One’) in 2009, eventually debuting alongside 'Graffiti' in Atlantic Beach with their mixtapes, "9 to 5: the Mixtape" and "9 to 5: Overtime," during the DatPiff wave. 

‘Phi' would go on to open for many industry icons over the years and, in 2016, lead his own local tour with the "New Jax City Movement," where he met 'Joey Tech' and formed the duo, "H3LLFIR3 & 6R1M$tON3" (HnB), and worked extensively with a local producer, 'Bluff Gawd,' on several albums and EPs.

After a brief "retirement" in 2021, 'Phi' returned in 2022 under the wing of his mentor, 'Infamous Skizza Reyven,' a Duval County legend, and his underground brand, "Infamous Mindz Productionz," releasing several bodies of work until ultimately creating his massive original discography... 

'J Phi' is now regarded as one of the hardest working underground recording artists Duval County has ever produced, becoming the first rap artist from Jacksonville to officially and successfully release 100 songs in 1 year’s time (Feb. 8th, 2024 to Feb. 8th, 2025).
