Infected Podcast S02 - Pre-BLANK Special - NICHOLAS

Week #6 - We invite Ujitsun, a Manchester based House and Techno DJ and producer. His passion for music started at an early age, and after attending a score of underground parties he decided to share his love for music with those around him.

Since becoming a finalist at Made In Manchester DJ Competition in 2014 he has played at many events and nights in Manchester, such as Beatnik, Pangaea Festival and Strictly Underground. He's supported acts such as Paul Woolford, xxxy, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, Freeman & Farrelly, Jozef K, Mistress De Funk (Radio 1) and more.

In both 2012 and 2013 he played his first set of international gigs in Ibiza at The Orange Corner beach bar, Hush and The Urban Lounge. He describes his style as minimal and tech house but also with techno influences.

Rilez is, primarily, a Hip-Hop producer from the UK. Having visited Malta on holiday for the first time in 2011, he soon moved and set down roots here. He continues to feature on a host of line-ups across the Island, playing a wide array of styles.

Infected Podcast S02 - Week #8 - NICKY SLIM

Back at our mammoth Stay True Scotland broadcast earlier this month, one track came real close to bringing The Caves' roof down during Nina Kraviz's powerhouse headline set. "I Wanna Go Bang" very nearly executed its titular statement – well, if the song was more about wrecking balls and less about...oh, never mind.

The vocals that stalk the track, so wholly devoid of humanity, rub up against razor-sharp claps and serious bounce in the subs. It's weighty warehouse techno of the highest order, set to devastate dark basements and big tents alike throughout the year. Simply put: Icelandic producer Bjarki has delivered a bomb.

I am seriously in love with music. I can get down to anything...as long as it's good. Every genre of music has something of QUALITY to offer, so I try to listen to everything with an open mind. I love electronic music because of its versatility of textures, scope of sound, feelings, and vibes. Given my mood I could be listening to house, breaks,  garage, future beats, techno, acid, progressive, drum n bass, dubstep, psychedelic trance, psybient, ambient, IDM, downtempo, etc.  I also listen to a lot of conscious hip hop, jazz, soul, reggae, world music, indie rock, post rock, classic rock, folk, and some nostalgic 90's and 80's alternative/pop.  I'm on soundcloud to mainly find mixes to groove to.  Lately, I've been into the soulful and uplifting sounds of liquid drum n bass, loud ass techhouse, and chill deep bass music/ deep house.
