Sin Afuera (“Without Outside”) is the new collaborative EP from Chilean producer Imaabs, label manager of NAAFI and cofounder of Máquina Simple, and Other Islands, a vocalist and producer from London’s underground club scene. Both based in Mexico City, the two artists share a close creative partnership shaped by a mutual interest in exploring the limits of global electronic music.

The EP’s title refers to the myth of closed systems—those that define themselves by casting an outside as dissident, migrant, or simply noise, and enforcing its exclusion. Through hybridity, dissonance, and distortion, the record traces the contours of this outside, imagining other ways of being in the world.

Released via NAAFI, the four tracks draw on and destabilize the rhythmic logics of dembow, baile funk, grime, dancehall, reggaeton, and jungle. Frenetic percussion and glistening synths meet expansive sound design: ASMR flickers, field recordings, and fragments of unintelligible speech bleed through swung grooves and shimmering textures. The result is a sound that is luminous and tense, shot through with longing and evoking a space that feels at once intimate and yet out of reach.

✸ SWINE PREMIERE ✸ Tokyo-based producer @wrack90 returns to Mexican club pioneers @NAAFI

✲ Japanese DJ and producer WRACK returns to NAAFI with a new EP that channels his signature fusion of Japanese taiko-inspired percussion, dancehall grooves, and Caribbean bass intensity. The release builds on the momentum of his previous singles and EPs, marrying the raw energy of taiko-drums with deep low-end and hybrid club sensibilities.

✲ As with his NAAFI output, this EP delivers tracks designed to resonate in club environments—driven by punchy rhythms, rumbling basslines, and textures that reflect WRACK’s global club perspective. WRACK is a prominent figure in Tokyo’s electronic scene, known as a resident DJ at HKCR and for his mixes with Boiler Room, Mixmag Asia, NTS, Rinse, i‑ D, and more. His DJ career, which began around 2009 inspired by hip‑ hop, evolved through open‑ format influences from artists like Diplo and A‑Trak.

Romanian DJ and producer Miss Jay, originally from Bucharest and now based in Milan, began her musical journey in the underground hardcore metal scene. Her sets and productions are driven by constant experimentation, merging emotional depth with club-ready energy, and often leaning into the raw, shapeshifting nature of deconstructed club.

FREAKS

Artist Concept: 

When Only Now was started, it was literal with it’s name : presenting landscapes that had no boundary to the past or future, only with the moment in mind from a cosmic standpoint. Distinctly esoteric and ritualistic, Only Now was to be “power music” for the spirit and body to propel the listener to a self awareness of being, verses a higher state of consciousness or transcendence to a particular plane. 

At first there were a few records of dystopian, cyberpunk, and political themed references and inspirations, but as the project progressed into the beginnings of this record, I felt a much more esoteric calling, speaking of the matters of all things unchanging and enveloping in this universe in my inspiration. The one binding force is TIME. Our power is how we interact and manipulate, or disconnect from time. Money can buy anything, but our mortality (so we thin is bound by it as well. 

Title track "Timeslave” first came into being, encompassing all those themes. 

The two pieces of “Psychic War I and II” approach the only thing a human can do to conquer the constraints of linear time, which is extend their ability to merge past and future and see the future or past. This leads us to “Remote Viewing” is conceptually tied to “Psychic War” as it touches on governments attempts to add mental warfare to their arsenal, forging attempts at crossing the 4th dimension.
