"Province Statique" is extract from Quanta Records’ third release, Correspondances, a mini LP by αίών (aeon) that combines experimental techno, ambient and musique concrète elements.
The tracks of the album communicate through similar sounds, noises and rhythmic patterns. But while atmospheres diverge, there is a constant exchange from cold and industrial to solar and melodious so as to form a complex and balanced ensemble.
αίών’s has placed randomness at the centre of his creative process. Computing and random programming have allowed the artist to explore new structures and to no longer simply consider a glitch as an error, but rather as a primal source of novel sound.
The outcome is a collection of sinuous and contemplative Correspondances that aims at contorting the listener’s subjective experience of time.

For its fourth release as part of the label’s main series, Quanta Records is delighted to introduce Panorama Island, Zwei Kreise’s new album, mixing ambient, IDM and sonic experimentations.
Behind Zwei Kreise’s pseudonym lurks a polymorph producer, continuously composing releases since 2008, including Arctic Circle on Silent Season or, more recently, the Silvarum/Rvlen double EP on Jacktone Records.
With Panorama Island, he delivers one of his most accomplished pieces so far, inspired by memory and its distinctive flaws: hidden corners, esoteric knowledge and elliptic recollections.
Melancholic ambient tracks and deconstructed breaks intertwine so as to frame and guide the moods of the person diving in. Melodies are central in these introspections: meticulously planned, sharp or languishing, they are maps for wandering listeners.
In this record, Zwei Kreise once again demonstrates his obsession for detail and micro-variations under a new more ethereal and contemplative light renewing our perceptions with each immersion. The artist invites us to iteratively contemplate the unknown for unforeseen discoveries.
