After helming her solo project Steady Holiday through a breakout 2016, Dre Babinski woke up Nov 9th with a need to respond. Three new songs were written in a month and recorded the next, each dealing with our new reality in different ways, collected here in the Terror EP. A gorgeous remix and a home recording of a new, hopeful song light the way forward. Featuring Josh Adams (Jenny Lewis) and produced by Gus Seyffert (The Black Keys, Beck), the Terror EP will be released by Infinite Best (Mr Twin Sister, Islands) in April 2017 digitally and on CD, the latter combined with her debut LP Under the Influence.

Steady Holiday - More Than One Way

“Hurt Me (feat. GABI)” is the new single from NYC collective House of Feelings. With production from Dale Eisinger of Yvette, the track contrasts industrial drums with a driving sax sample courtesy band leader Matty, then kicks into gear with a bassline schooled in Detroit. Featured vocalist GABI straight up dares the listener to "hurt me... you ain't gonna hurt me", turning every nightclub predator's cowardice back on themselves, as the track builds and her power grows. 

The track is taken from a forthcoming EP, to be released by Infinite Best (Mr Twin Sister, Ava Luna) in August 2017.

"I did one last disco song"

This track was written with a specific instrument in mind: the unmistakable voice of Shamir Bailey, who recently traded glimmering disco-pop ballads for a new brand of soul-searching lo-fi. A duet with House of Feelings bandleader Matty Fasano, who contributed sax on Shamir’s 2015 debut Ratchet, the song appears to bookend a certain phase of Shamir’s musical life (the above quote was tweeted by Shamir when we announced the track's existence). That bittersweet, maybe-an-ending, maybe-a-beginning feeling is manifest in the series of repeated, unanswered questions that make up the lyrics. "Who's gonna change the motion / when you're standing right by my side?"
