Starting 2021 kicking like yer proverbial mule, hot on the heels of The Selador Showcase: The Twelfth Night Part One, we are proud to present, with a characteristic mix of dexterity, alacrity and logic – Part Two! 

Like its predecessor, this second instalment once again puts the spotlight on a whole host of global electronic production talent (2 x welcome returnees, 4 x Selador debutants) and covers a multitude of styles in one essential package.

First, we find hot Russian duo Goom Gum in tandem with Istanbul-based Gaidukova. ‘Freedom’ is a wonderfully constructed riff fest, underpinned by a mean growling bassline. Peak time action.

Next up, the prolific Several Definitions (Switzerland) brings us the magnificent brooding beast that is ‘Boske’. Maximum wonkiness, just how we like it.

UK scene stalwart Kiz Pattison delivers ‘Intruder’ – this particular intrusion is most welcome though as the insistent lead riff burrows its way into the darkest recesses of your cranium. Hold tight.

London-based Rashid Ajami follows renowned for the emotional depth of his productions, and the beautiful ‘The Lie’, in partnership with Dröm, will only help cement that reputation. Proper swish.

Next from Spain, we welcome Martin HERRS & Thimble, whose hypnotic ‘Impala’ is awash with exotic sounds cascading over a pulsating bassline. Deep, unrelenting business. 

And we conclude with Nila, the New Zealand-based Scot adding to his growing stature with Asyn on the yearning vocals for the powerful, instantly inspiring ‘Answers’.

Premiere: HeÎk & Words Of Niō - Dilenux - Cph Deep Recordings

The German Naeiiv (@naeiiv) is the one who provided the 25th EP of the label. He created two rhythmical and moreover fresh tracks, which are very interesting and renewing. The title track of the EP is called ‘Vault’ and the second track, ‘Voue’, got a sensational breakbeat remix by another German talent, called Vintash (@vintash_music). 

‘Vault’ is truly one of a kind. A ‘perfect chaos’ could be seen as the theme of the track. It starts off with a firm kick and some unexpected drums, which are complemented by other impressive individual elements. During the track a harsh synth is emerging, but gets broken down by peaceful breaks. This combination creates a suitable contrast. After the second break a sophisticated constructed climax got reached, bringing in you into ecstasy. 

‘Voue’ is the more melodic one of the two originals, but also here Naeiiv managed to implement interesting and unexpected drums and percussion. A constant flow of pads is directing you through the track, accompanied by lovely chords. At some points even more compelling synths are taking over. This all together contributes to two hopeful and remarkable peaks.

Vintash took some of the drum elements, as well as some melodic elements and used them in a completely different way. The breakbeat-way. This remix is a sensational journey with fierce, but superbly timed, drums and percussion all over the place. Also forming a perfect chaos. The middle part brings back the vibe of the original and afterwards a break to cool down comes in. In the final part an ongoing increase makes sure this remix will be an unforgettable audial experience and forms a great end to this fresh and memorable EP.

He is constantly exploring and innovating sounds combining darkness fellings and atmospheres getting deep melodies, sorrounding rythms and abstract textures. Since he started he feel inspired by artists like Mind Against, Tale of Us, Adriatique and more. After many years of hard work he came across presentations in Macarena Club, one of the most prestigious and historic club in Barcelona. Also he played for venues like La Daurada Beach, Slow, Club M7, Ethniko, Go Beach club and Cafe Del Mar in Spain. He also present his music in countrys like Andorra, Uruguay, Argentina and Mexico.
