Dub Warriors Vol 3 takes dub and dub-inspired styles on another epic quest through time, reminding us of where the dance floor/hall movement began . . . Jamaica in the 1950s? Yes, to some extent that is where bass and sub first took flight to vibrate our chests, move our feet and rattle our nostrils. And it has been doing so ever since . . . But people have been dancing to the resonance of a drum since long before records existed. And our explorations in electronic music today are our 'versions' of the ancestors' creations and ceremonial celebrations. This recognition can be deeply humbling. And for me personally, knowing and acknowledging the process that has taken place has made me truly grateful for the mind boggling access to further exploration through sonic space that software developers and engineers have granted to our finger tips. . . Big ups to the coders and mathematical geniuses that make this gift ever more apparent with every pass of the moon and sun!
