For our 91st episode of So It Goes Radio, we're excited to present to you a special 2-hour mix by Argentinian DJ and producer, FJL.

FJL caught our attention this year with a series of outstanding releases on labels like 3rd Avenue and Or Two Strangers.  It didn't surprise us that his productions have received support from all the prog heavyweights like Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, and Guy J.

Part of the vision of So It Goes is to give those up-and-coming artists a bit more of a 'spotlight' so that they can showcase their talents to a broader audience and give them more exposure.  FJL is one of those artists who has earned the spotlight as we're optimistic that the best is yet to come for the young argentine producer.

Ich atme tief durch und versuche meine Gedanken zu ordnen. Vielleicht gibt es für alles eine einfache Erklärung. Ich werde einfach später Lighter von meiner Entdeckung berichten, er wird mir bestimmt Licht in diese Angelegenheit bringen können. Wichtig ist jetzt aus diesem Gewölbe wieder herauszukommen. Getrieben durch den Adrenalinschub der letzten Minuten bewege ich mich wie ein Gepard durch die engen Gänge und Korridore bis ich wieder bei der Tür bin, die mich auf dem Hinweg mit ihrer Warnung nicht aufhalten konnte. Ich erwische mich dabei, wie ich mir wünsche diese Tür nie durchquert zu haben.
Wenigen Minuten später bin ich wieder in der riesigen Halle der Kathedrale. Der Rave läuft weiter auf Hochtouren und die Menge hat sich bereits in Ekstase getanzt. Die Körper zucken unkontrolliert über die Tanzfläche und kein Fuß steht still. Alles ist in Bewegung und stampft unablässig zum pulsierenden Sound, der aus den Boxen gedrückt kommt. Ich verspüre eine ungeheure Energie. Getrieben durch den Treibstoff Musik und durch Glückshormone gehen die Tänzer an ihre körperlichen Grenzen und tanzen sich in einen Rausch. Diese einzigartige Atmosphäre saugt mich zog artig auf und verschlingt mich innerhalb von Sekunden. Ich schmeiße mich voller Freude in die Menge und lasse mich treiben. Durch die geschlossenen Augen dringen bunte Farben und ich verliere mich in einem Meer aus Lichtern, bis plötzlich durch eine grobe Berührung aus meiner Glückseligkeit gerissen werde. 

Lighter zieht mich zur Seite und sieht mich scharf an. „Wo warst du die ganze Zeit gewesen? Die Bars benötigen dringend Nachschub! Ich weiß die Musik ist unglaublich gut, aber tanzen musst du auf später verschieben! Siehst du dahinten die eiserne Tür. Hier ist der Schlüssel und jetzt hol Bier.“ Ehe ich etwas erwidern konnte, schubst mich Lighter leicht in die Richtung der Menge und verschwindet in der Menge. Dabei habe ich doch noch so viele Fragen…

#078 - Cary Crank - It's Over (Short Edit) [Sunexplosion Records]

For our 49th offering we welcome Boh Oh Boy, Hobin Rude and Liam Garcia who take on remixing duties for Cavemen’s ‘Tied’ EP.

​​Hailing from Germany and France, Boy oh Boy’s mix of dance floor friendly tech and underground house music has earned them spots at supporting Djuma Soundsystem (NO), Uone (AU) and releases on Get Physical Music and Poesie Music. They offer their take on the title track of the EP, ‘Tied’. A brooding bassline that drives the remix, along with upbeat drum work and synth leads, giving it a dark and melodic feel. The remix is filled with chopped samples and detuned automations that provide impact throughout. 

Next up we have Hobin Rude, the Serbian progressive house DJ / Music Producer based in Belgrade. He has released on labels such as Balkan Connection, One of A Kind and Soundteller to name a few. His ‘Tsjalina’ remix is uplifting and playful with a hypnotic groove that is made for the dancefloor. The lush arps and pads in the break makes it a perfect track for anytime of the day.

Ending off the EP is Liam Garcia with his Voodoo Remix of ‘Witch Doctor’. Liam Garcia currently resides and grew up in Scotland, where he acquired his love for house music through long nights spent at the infamous Arches in Glasgow and underground haven, Snafu, in his hometown of Aberdeen. Liam Garcia gives the track a club orientated feel with a dark driving bass line. The ambient dub-like synths and effects will take you on a 4 am journey into the abyss.

Empathy Slow - Inflect Records on Melodic Distraction Radio (April '22)

Kipras a.k.a. Empathy Slow (@empathyslow) became a resident DJ at his local club in Lithuania at the very young age.  Since then, he continues his journey, studying music production in London, where he played in various clubs. Later he moved to North England to study Media, Music and Sound. Since he has finished his studies, he continues experimenting with music and constantly making new projects while occasionally performing. Currently Empathy Slow is back at his homeland and lives in Lithuania’s capital Vilnius, where he is working on new music and partialy his record label called Inflect Records.

'Music from an era that time forgot'

Inflect is a dedicated Record Label specialising in Indie Dance. At the outset Inflect originated in Liverpool. Inflect is part English and part Lithuanian and currently based in Vilnius and Leeds. 


As we know trends are forever changing, particularly ones from the past coming back into the mainstream, such as 80’s style clothing and formats such as vinyl and analogue music production equipment, with more advanced parameters. Our particular sound is specific to these trends. It is, essentially, music from all corners of the globe coming together to create an abstract style of electronic body music.

We are bringing you 1980’s disco, acid house, music with a modernised deep/dark techno feel. We believe it is a combination of the disco from the UK/Italy and the dark Techno imports from Central Europe, mixed with influences from Eastern European countries such as Lithuania, to create The Inflect Style.
