Black Light Smoke - IN DARK WE TRUST #132

Solid Mexican label Innisfallen Records is finally back on track to deliver its first (better-late-than-never) release of the year: “Fake Expectations” comes from the minds of Lusca (SXDNS216) & Andrem and features two beefy originals plus three fat remixes made with love by Undefined Pattern (SXDNS197) – who contributed with two interesting versions of the title track – and Sequencers.

Lusca and Andrem are more than used to working in partnership with other artists: The former, along with MUFTI, forms the accomplished duo Los Fugazzi; while the latter, together with Montessori, establishes FLXXX, another gifted and esteemed duo.

The track we were solicited to premiere was carefully cooked by Daniel and Gilberto Cornejo, the brothers behind the… yes, duo Sequencers. Inspired by different music tastes, they use their disparate influences to deliver a mixed sonority, combining their independent takes from the huge scope the underground music has to offer and handing over something very particular.

For their interpretation of “Fake Expectations”, the lads decided to speed up the original a little bit (from 108 to 115 BPM) and immerse it into a darker atmosphere. The dirtier and more energetic version, full of distortions and elements, seems to be the result of letting two kids fooling around with vintage studio equipment and midi controllers. Gloominess at its best, but with a powerful groove. We liked it!

Archivos Sonoros 02

After a great year taking various courses on sound design and field recordings, I finally had the space to record a new edition of “Archivos Sonoros.” 

This project is a space where I can explore the magic of sounds and their impact on our emotions. For this edition, I decided to compile songs that I listened to in the background during my study nights.

I remember each of those nights, sitting in my room, surrounded by books, cables, and my monitors. The hours passed differently as the sounds transformed my surroundings. Each concept I learned was a new color in my palette, a new tool to shape creativity, while the songs traveled through the air, providing the rhythm to keep me awake.

I love the energy of this mix, a burst of sounds designed to get us dancing, to lift us up and make us feel alive. After all, music has always been a reflection of our deepest emotions, and this mix is my way of sharing a part of my life with others. I spent a couple of days selecting each track, trying to create a sonic narrative. Finally, I connected all my equipment, turned on my monitors, and recorded the set in my living room. With a smile, I share this mix with you, hoping you find something interesting. Remember to stay true to yourself and never waste any opportunity you have to dance, because at the end of the day, life is too short not to dance, not to let yourself be carried away by the rhythm and enjoy the small moments that make us feel alive.

'Music from an era that time forgot'

Inflect is a dedicated Record Label specialising in Indie Dance. At the outset Inflect originated in Liverpool. Inflect is part English and part Lithuanian and currently based in Vilnius and Leeds. 


As we know trends are forever changing, particularly ones from the past coming back into the mainstream, such as 80’s style clothing and formats such as vinyl and analogue music production equipment, with more advanced parameters. Our particular sound is specific to these trends. It is, essentially, music from all corners of the globe coming together to create an abstract style of electronic body music.

We are bringing you 1980’s disco, acid house, music with a modernised deep/dark techno feel. We believe it is a combination of the disco from the UK/Italy and the dark Techno imports from Central Europe, mixed with influences from Eastern European countries such as Lithuania, to create The Inflect Style.
