Empathy Slow - Inflect Records on Melodic Distraction Radio (April '22)

Kipras a.k.a. Empathy Slow (@empathyslow) became a resident DJ at his local club in Lithuania at the very young age.  Since then, he continues his journey, studying music production in London, where he played in various clubs. Later he moved to North England to study Media, Music and Sound. Since he has finished his studies, he continues experimenting with music and constantly making new projects while occasionally performing. Currently Empathy Slow is back at his homeland and lives in Lithuania’s capital Vilnius, where he is working on new music and partialy his record label called Inflect Records.

Inflect Records at Melodic Distraction Radio with Davak & Empathy Slow

wo Brazilian artists, Tabbi (from São Paulo) and Leca (from Florianópolis), met in New York, thousands of miles from home, yet instantly recognized something familiar — the pulse of Brazilian soul beating in their hearts. Coming from opposite ends of the country, each carried her own accent, memories, and unique cultural repertoire.

What began as a simple musical exchange soon became something greater: the start of a true friendship and an artistic partnership that now binds us forever.

During the creation of Tom da Raiz, we realized we were composing more than just a song. We were weaving our stories together, translating into sounds and words what it means to be a woman, an artist, and a Brazilian living far from Brazil. This track is an intimate manifesto about belonging, the courage to follow one’s own path, and the resilience needed to keep the essence alive despite distance and challenges.

The vocal-poem, written in Portuguese, speaks of resistance, strength, and courage — an open letter to all women who, like us, hold on to their dreams and identities, even when the world seems to demand they bend:

- Deixa o tempo desenhar as respostas
- Nem tudo se pede, nem tudo se força
- O rio não apressa o encontro com o mar
- O vento não empurra o que já sabe voar…

Each verse is a reminder that there is strength in silence, beauty in waiting, and freedom in staying true to yourself. It’s about finding balance between longing and freedom, between memory and future.

The name Tom da Raiz is a tribute to what shapes and sustains us. It represents our origins, our stories, and the pride of being who we are. It’s the echo of our roots resonating, even oceans away, reminding us that everything essential remains.

This is our fourth release and we present "Back Side Trip" by Jack Carel. Jack Carel was born in 1980 in Tel-Aviv. During the mid-nineties music revolution, he is influenced by artists such as the Chemical Brothers, Jeff Mills and Dave Clarke. Architect by profession, his job extends to his own productions, in which he superposes layers, giving unique compositions mixing styles like techno, breaks or electronica.

The music producer 'Plastico' has been experimenting and playing for a long time, with a unique sound. Now he lands on Melomana Records with 'Ghetto House', an album consists of four original tracks and a remix of the great Alejandro Paz. The album, oriented to the dance floor, is presented with the firm intention of giving a necessary and demanding twist to the dancefloor.

The whole of this album is the summary of many days fiddling with exceptional analog synthesizers, until finding a sound full of color, organic and meandering, which manages to filter through each pore of the skin until we are completely electrified. Each track gets the listener out of himself, open his mind and light the flame of hope, in a world where it seems that he has lost all idea of the future. And more, in a situation like the one we are experiencing, such an album is a breath of fresh air.

Plastico tries to transmit his particular personality and vital project in this deep and personal Guetto House, timeless and full of strength, to which we will go over time trying to decipher that magical and complex mechanism that manages to transcend all the expectations of dance music.

Ludviq is the project of Luis Fernando, born in Guadalajara, MX.  Dj & producer of electronic music since 2016, with influences like psychedellic, indie, breaks, techno and Disco.

Founder of the Mexican electronic label Bonkers, and co-founder of Rosex MX which is an inclusive party based in Guadalajara.

Empathy Slow likes to experiment and apply his creativity in different ways while playing and producing electronic music using the experience he gathered over the years.

Empathy Slow became a resident DJ at his local club in Lithuania in 2010, when he was only 16 .  Since then he continues his journey, studying music production in London, where he played in various clubs. In 2016 he moved to North England to study Media, Music and Sound. Up north Kipras continued maturing as an artist and learned how to apply his creativity while occasionally performing around the area. 'Music from an era that time forgot'

Inflect is a dedicated Record Label specialising in Indie Dance. At the outset Inflect originated in Liverpool. Inflect is part English and part Lithuanian and currently based in Vilnius and Leeds. 


As we know trends are forever changing, particularly ones from the past coming back into the mainstream, such as 80’s style clothing and formats such as vinyl and analogue music production equipment, with more advanced parameters. Our particular sound is specific to these trends. It is, essentially, music from all corners of the globe coming together to create an abstract style of electronic body music.

We are bringing you 1980’s disco, acid house, music with a modernised deep/dark techno feel. We believe it is a combination of the disco from the UK/Italy and the dark Techno imports from Central Europe, mixed with influences from Eastern European countries such as Lithuania, to create The Inflect Style.
