Soul Deep Digital & Philth are proud to announce the release of the ‘Set Me Free / Catharsis (2021 VIP’s).  The London based producer, Philth, returns to Soul Deep to take on the remix duties of his own tracks from the classic ‘Heart Songs EP,’ which was released back in 2013.  Since 2013, Philth’s popularity has spiked and he has released music on some of the most well known labels in the business including, Dispatch, Liquid V, and Fokuz, and Lunar.  Soul Deep is happy to have him bring his sharp production skills back to the label.  The “Set Me Free, (2021 VIP),” kicks things off in style with its snappy drums, grungy baselines, and eerily pitched vocals sung by, Helena.  The “Catharsis (2021 VIP),” is up next and takes a smoother approach, putting the sultry vocals of Sinai in the forefront.  The pianos shimmer and the bassline rolls along, as the song progresses into a dancefloor classic, as you’ve come to expect from Philth.  Welcome back to Soul Deep, Philth!

Introducing some fresh talent to the CIA catalogue, we welcome Kublai for his first release on the label – the eclectic ‘Free Flow EP’.

True to his city, the Manchester based producer draw inspirations from a diverse palette and his EP is a testament to this, showcasing his sound via four tracks representing four different styes.

After pushing things forward during lockdown with releases on Goldfat and Vandal (alongside fellow CIA artist Minor Forms), the ‘Free Flow EP’ marks the next development for Kublai; which, with the guidance and encouragement of Total Science, has led him to explore new avenues in DnB.

From the mind of Fuj comes two brilliant works of modern drum and bass music that are a perfect examples of why his art has received countless praises. Simply put, this release is an artist 
hitting their stride with ease and focus.

Opia opens with sparse and crisp percussion and pads that slowly build up momentum as the bass line drops and dances perfectly with pulsing synth stabs. These give way to more airy pads and layered sonic textures and break beats that are as good as it gets.


Prelagic is an exploration in minimal, yet complex break beats with flanged synths and chopped processed vocal snippets weaving in and out of frame. It beckons you to get lost in its hypnotic call and 
leaves you satisfied that did.

Aaron Jay is head of A&R and owns Influence Records. 

Aaron started DJing in 1997. Between 2001-2003 Aaron was invited on a regular basis to warm up the bar at Bryan G's weekly night Movement which led him to be noticed by the scenes major players. 

2003-2011 Aaron Jay was made resident at Fabio's legendary night Swerve, playing every month to the dub hungry punters who like their rhythms soulful and funky. 

To support this Aaron joined premier DJ agency Groove Connection, joining an A-List roster that included Drum and Bass Pioneers Fabio and Grooverider. 

Known for playing Detroit Techno, Dub, Jazz, Rare Groove and deep inspired Drum and Bass, he has also gone on to perform at such legendary venues as Fabric, The END, CABLE, Heaven, Brixton O2 Arena as well as playing abroad. 

In 2008 Aaron set up Influence Records - supporting artists such as; Easy and Geeks, Commix, Jay Dubz, Mr Joseph, Lynx, Phil Tangent, CPH, A-Audio, Conrad Subs, Seba, L-Side, Hobzee and Zyon Base, HLZ, Dave Owen, Sergio Manifesto, Random Movement, Duoscience, Flaco, Bungle, Zero T, Conrad Subs, KMTR, Soul Intent, Brother, ICR, Kjell, Bal, Data, Sinistarr, Undefined, Atom, RawQ plus many others. 

Influence reflects his personal style, drawing upon deeper and leftfield flavours within the genre. Aaron Jay also teamed up in the studio with Lynx (Hospital Records, Creative Source, Soul:r, Detail) and has released two singles on Doc Scott's 31 Records.
