Phil Mountford was commissioned to compose a suite of 10 pieces of music to commemorate the centenary of the First World War.  The music tells the fictional story of a young new recruit in World War 1, from leaving his home and girl behind, the horrors he experienced, to his ultimate demise.

The suite is written for choir, piano and cello. The cellist in these recordings is Josh Mountford.
