Vertigo (aka Anke) has been and continues to be one of the most influential DJs in Taiwan for close to 30 years now. Starting his DJ Career in 1991, his musical style mixes new wave, with punk, dub and mainly techno.  Devoted to hip-hop early during his career, Vertigo played at various nightclubs in Taiwan as the main resident for several years. Then like a lightning bolt, was struck by the house and techno sound, Vertigo fell in love with those genres during 1994, transitioning to hard house, trance, techno, minimal and abstract breakbeats.
With several high-profile residencies at major clubs in Taiwan, as well as Festivals around the world, playing alongside the likes of Japanese DJ Q'hey, Marco Bailey, Technasia, etc. As well as touring with Richie Hawtin in 2009 in China.  Vertigo has traveled all over the world for Tour shows such as Belgium, Luxembourg, Tokyo, Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Korea. In 2018, he brought ELROW to Taiwan for the first time. And since then has represented and promoted Model 1 high-level mixers to the Taiwan music industry market.
Needless to say, Vertigo has played everywhere and seen it all.

In her heart, the bass represents the strength of humanity and the soft touches of melodies represent the emotional softer side of people. Throughout her experiences in Techno, she understood that in the world of Hard Techno, tempo represents the soft touches of emotion and every hard bass gives a chance of rebirth.

Born and raised in Taipei and HWA (aka ELVIS.T) kicked off his DJ career in 1998 and soon started to produce his own music at a prolific rate. He relocated to Beijing in 2006 and immediately became an intricate part of China's electronic music scene, which had just emerged a few years before and growing rapidly. HWA is considered a pioneering force in the promotion of techno music and culture in the country, He was the early co-founder of Beijing's Lantern club, the most influential techno club during it’s run.  He was also the co-owner of Acupuncture Records, which is the only techno label in China back in the early 2000's. In the past decade, he has graced the stages of some of the most famous clubs and festivals in Europe, as well as the top clubs in Tokyo, Seoul, and Taipei. In 2016, he appeared in China's first ever Boiler Room event with his modular synth system, his live set was considered one of the defining moments of Boiler Room China. Now back here in his native homeland of Taiwan. HWA looks to re-establish himself as one of Asia’s top Techno talents.

Early in 2020, thanks to the highly effective and concerted efforts of the Taiwanese Government and the Taiwanese citizens, we successfully fought the Covid-19 pandemic that swept throughout the World. But as everyone knows, the virus has been raging once again in many different Countries, and now the World is plunged into a wave of different variants of this epidemic. Covid-19 has once again invaded many countries that successfully fought the epidemic last year, including our beloved Taiwan.

At present, the government has swiftly upgraded its anti-epidemic measures, and the entire nation has mobilized to fight this epidemic. We held off Covid-19 last year, so everyone is no stranger to fighting the epidemic. As long as we implement and follow the anti-epidemic regulations, be smart, cautious and keep an optimistic outlook...be tolerant and encouraging to each other, I believe we can defeat the virus again this year.

However, it must be noted that this time around, this epidemic is much more severe than last year, the impact of the anti-epidemic actions on people's livelihood is bound to be a heavier burden on some of our fellow citizens. This will put many disadvantaged groups in harm's way. In order to reduce the hardships of the epidemic to Taiwan, at this critical moment, we should give more care to the vulnerable within our society.

The original intention of Basika was to provide a bigger platform and uplift Taiwan’s electronic music scenes, so in that same spirit, the pulse of Taiwan’s society should also be our concern. Basika has decided to host an ONLINE streaming event to raise funds for the "South Airport Happy Food Bank" (www.facebook.com/Nanjichangfoodbank*) as well as overall Covid relief within Taipei.

Just having started DJing a few years ago, Max Huang is THE raising star in the Taiwan Techno scene. Experimenting with, and shuttling between various styles of melodic techno, acid house, and dub techno. Inspired by a single released by the HEX Company and DJ Schacke, Max fell in love with the rhythms and cadences of that track. Lately, he has been finding expression through the flow of a harder sound, but those around him who know him best, know him for his seamless and imaginative blending of lighter melodies with saturated, louder beats. 
His musical style is similarly reflected in his fashion style; pairing all-black tones with brightly colored socks. Both style and music, for Max, are reflections of one another — mysterious, though modestly so.

Born out of her love for trance music in 2013, her various musical influences soon led her on a journey of many different genres. As if she was trying to mold herself into many different shapes like water. She continued to evolve with her own unique taste and style. 
After a trip to Berlin in 2019. Jamie found herself drawn to the musical sounds of Europe. She decided to break away from the mainstream market. Meanwhile, she immersed herself in her newly discovered sounds.
In the selection of her songs we can feel the traces of her life, as well as her dark and cold, calm and elegant qualities. From time to time, she outlines the classic elements of the 90s. In the seemingly rational format norms, she oscillates and breaks out. The rebellious factor of the traditional frame promotes her extremely high recognition value.

Exploring the beauty of the island and the fantastic sounds of techno in Taiwan, Nick P. came to Taiwan from New Zealand in 2004 as a new producer and techno DJ.
The first EP" Hard Part" was released by Shingez Recording on Beatport in 2015. At the same time, Nick P. was also working as a radio broadcaster DJ, promoting techno and dance music here in Taiwan. As a new producer, Nick P. traveled all over Asia and the world to find inspiration. But he soon realized that it was in his native Formosa that he found the most inspiration from Taiwan's indigenous music and local culture.
In 2014, Nick P. and fellow DJ Tek, created a Techno platform called FUTURE SOUND TC. Hosting events, producing music and cultivating the culture for Techno lovers in Taichung, Taiwan.

Having spent most of his adult life in Paris, France, Yuhan is a piano musician who has grown up with classical music influences, as well as Jazz and Blues. (studied at The Academy of Music of Paris)
Quickly, Yuhan was a regular at the underground Parisian clubs such as Rex Club or Concrete, which eventually led to his love for the Techno, but especially Micro House (also known as Minimal Techno).
These days, his skilled mixing style is a mix of modern groovy Romanian, French or UK Micro House but also varies from very old school 1993 Rave House to trippy 135 bpm Acid House. Yuhan’s passion for spreading good music to people, his motto is "We love what we share and we share what we love".

Unique and one of one in her way of mixing tribal, folk, and mysterious elements have clearly established their own sound.  Dungi Sapor has been loyal to Techno since her college days. Her music selections are unique, strong and full of power. She has expressed her musical energies and explosive sounds from the Korner underground scene. As her popularity grew in Taiwan.   She’s also performed on the same stage with European Techno DJ Monoloc.
Her DJ career started in 2017, and debuted in New Zealand. She found confidence and truth in herself. And in 2018, her first performance back in Taiwan went viral in Hualien and northeastern Taiwan. In 2021, the ancient electronic music "I HO YAN" was released, and it was designated as the halftime music in the NBA G League. Techno has been introduced to Taiwan for more than 25 years, and she is the major talent for this Techno style to take root.
Dungi's musical taste and sound is unique, and it is not to be missed.

Max Huang is a Taipei-based DJ born in the late 90's. It was at the age of 18 when he first was introduced to Techno at Korner and opened the doors to the musical underground culture. After experiencing the club culture in Berlin, he was inspired by the magic of the city’s sound and began to explore his own dark, futuristic musical style. 
As the youngest member of ANKR, he met like-minded people, was inspired by Ghetto-Techno and Neo-Trance, and eventually led to throwing his own parties. Devoted to fast-paced basslines, but at the same time retaining a light, spatial bounce, Max’s nostalgia for earlier generation Techno tones and exotic instruments has transformed him into one of Taiwan’s most sought after Techno DJs.

DJ from Taipei, Taiwan. Started mixing Tech House in 2015 then exploring different styles of music across House, Minimal, Breaks, Techno and Hard Techno. Obsessed by the speed punch of layers of drums with hi-hat combinations, you can always find strong groovy bass, acid dips, some spacey Electro sounds and trippy vibe in her sounds. She can be found playing unique events throughout the Taipei club scenes at B1, 23 music room, Pipe, Studio 9 and OMNI for Zamp etc. and former CÉ LA VI Taipei resident. By 2023, she had been invited to performance for Ultra Resistance Taiwan Pre-Party and also played frequently at the local festival circuit including Earthfest & Eden Hill. She also had multiple international opportunities playing in Kinki Lounge Canada, CodeSundays at 77club Sydney, The Lighthouse Saigon and recently performed at Sub Rosa for Femme Fatales and TECHNIQUE (IWTFA) in Brisbane and Subvert event at Ancient world in Adelaide.

Electronic music with oriental delicate and rich tones is one of Code Wu's greatest features. He
released "The Gate EP" on Beatport, the single Buddha's entered the "Beatport Top Download Top 50”. The bold and avant-garde music creativity has led the trend of the global Asian electronic music style.
He released his first album "Asia River" on Hinote Records, which was strongly recommended by Lin Qiang and Xuan Liu, was also praised by the well-known New York musician The Shanghai Restoration Project “his music is a perfect combination of Eastern and Western spirits, which is incredible. People meditate!” This album won the honor of the first Music Promoter Award, and was nominated for the Best Electronic Music Album and Best Electronic Music Single Award in the first Golden Indie Music Awards. Because of his rich creative features, his performances not only master the atmosphere of the scene, but also use Ambient, House, Techno, Electronica genres, using ethnic and Asian traditional instruments to mix and match the concept of oriental charming rhythm and western fashionable rhythm, which will be elegant and unique. The Asian style is fully presented.

Code Wu produced music for the Golden Horse Award-winning film "Summer Light Years", and also won the second prize in the 2007 Hong Kong singer “Sandy Lim”remixing competition. His talent in remixing was also invited by the active Asian music label "LoveDa Records" to Code Wu produced remix of the single "Almost Home" from the album "Innocents" released by the legendary American musician Moby. He is also frequently invited to perform and produce music by famous international brands such as LOUIS VUITTON, FENDI, COACH, OMEGA, ASTON MARTIN, BMW, AUDI, MERCEDES BENZ, LEXUS, HUNTER, THE GLENLIVET, MARTELL, SONY, TAIPEI FASHION WEEK, TAIPEI FILM AWARDS, and etc.

Code Wu once represented Taiwan in Glastonbury, UK, to perform at the world's largest and highest grossing international music festival. He was the first outstanding talented DJ invited to perform in Taiwan. There were more than 60 stages in the music festival, and he was perform of the main stages "The Blues”. Conquer the world with original Taiwanese music. So far, it has been invited to perform in many countries and cities and major international well-known music festivals, such as ADE, CMW, SXSW, BUDDHA BAR and other places like; UK, US, Europe, Dubai, Canada, Russia, China, Hong Kong, Macau, Malaysia.

The impact of the covid-19 in 2021, Code Wu was officially invited to join the DJ of Radio FG - Maxximum, the most famous French old electronic music radio in Europe, and has been on the air many times with top international DJs: Adam Beyer, Chris Liebing, Joris Voorn. His unique music style and fashionable electronic music creation concept present a different listening experience to the audience.

Vertigo has had an outstanding DJ career, with 30 years of experience and performances, making him one of Taiwan's most important figures and influencers in the dance music culture. He has been invited to be a resident DJ at Taiwan's top clubs in every era, including teXound, Kiss, @live, 2F, LUXY & etc and has performed multiple times in key electronic music cities in Asia and Europe, such as Belgium, Luxembourg, Tokyo, Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen. His experience performing alongside many top DJs and his personal creations have sparked Vertigo's unique style and story.

With a foundation in House/Techno, Vertigo has exceptional music appreciation and skills, adept at drawing the essence from various genres of music and interpreting them from his own outstanding perspective. He is one of the few DJs who can educate the audience through music while also entertaining the crowd. From Techno/Minimal/House/Progressive to Tribal or Electro, he can skillfully navigate and masterfully control the atmosphere.

Since being invited to join Richie Hawtin on a China tour in 2009, Vertigo has also invited many renowned electronic artists such as Sasha, Dubfire, Richie Hawtin, Ken Ishii, Technasia, Carlo Lio, Marco Bailey, Q'Hey, A Mochi, and Dosem to perform in Taiwan. In 2018, he assisted in the representation of elrow's first visit to Taiwan and began representing and promoting the Model 1 high-end mixer and related events in 2019. Lately he had been actively inviting Amelie Lens and Farrago to perform at Songshan Cultural and Creative Park in Taipei.

4RMSTRONG has been immersed in techno and house music with a 4/4 beat since 2009. Growing up listening to British rock, he developed a psychedelic musical foundation. In 2009, he came into contact with electronic music and began creating new milestones.

With a keen sense of spatial awareness in music, 4RMSTRONG enjoys using ethereal sounds and dynamic drum variations to transport the audience's imagination to a new world. The combination of his love for British rock and the evolving electronic beats creates a musical structure that irresistibly moves the dance floor, while timely climaxes elevate the party atmosphere to its peak.

Born in Germany,  Thomas toured all around Asia introducing the significant Romanian micro house sound.  Having settled in Taipei since 2014, Thomas has build up a name for himself and the music experience he stands for. Strongly influenced from the scene in Frankfurt, his sound combines uplifting elements and groovy baselines just at the right moments. During the past few years Thomas has played alongside many international top djs, Fumiya Tanaka, Dan Andrei, Arapu, Gescu and Janeret, just to name few.

Starting her DJ Career in 2013, with her musical influence and interests cleverly blending different house genres. Jamie Q's instant talent was her ability to find her own strengths in many styles of House Music.  Having graced the decks and stages of numerous outdoor Festivals, as well as international Fashion Events both in Taiwan and aboard. Her resume and experience speaks for itself. From Tokyo ATOM nightclub to Singapore's XYLO and Vogue's Fashion Night out. All this landed her as one of GQ Style's best female DJs and TOP 10 Female DJ lists in several publications.
2018 was Jamie Q's turning point. Gravitating more toward an European underground sound, rather than mainstream EDM which was saturating the local Taiwan market at the time. Her sets these days, are can't miss Techno journeys that are at the same time hard hitting, yet lively with her own unique clever edge.

Just having started DJing a few years ago, Max Huang has been a raising star in the Taiwan Techno scene. Experimenting with, and shuttling between various styles of melodic techno, acid house, and dub techno. Inspired by a single released by the HEX Company and DJ Schacke, Max fell in love with the rhythms and cadences of that track. Lately, he has been finding expression through the flow of a harder sound, but those around him who know him best, know him for his seamless and imaginative blending of lighter melodies with saturated, louder beats. 
His musical style is similarly reflected in his fashion style; pairing all-black tones with brightly colored socks. Both style and music, for Max, are reflections of one another — mysterious, though modestly so. On the dance floor, Max will surely surprise you.

The Doppler Wave is a personal project of talented Taiwanese Producer & Composer Hsu Chia-Wei.  Wei's radical percussion rhythms and improvisational sound productions are unique live elements and definitely one of a kind. His released works include the minimalist Nonagon and 'Brutalist', which is based on violentism, rugged and no nonsense sounds that produce new listening experiences outlined by technology. At times, his music also combines nature, love, technology, and desire all together. His single, ‘One of Us’ won the Golden Sound Award for the electronic single of the year, and was also shortlisted for the best electronic album of the year. In addition to his live DJ sets,  Hsu Chai-Wei has also participated in the production of different media soundtracks, including Netflix’s self-made series "Sin Dreamers'' which won the Golden Bell Award for Best Sound Design, the first Taiwanese movie ‘Freaks’ shot completely with an iPhone, and collaborated with choreographer Jia Lin Youru on "Sponge" and "Made in Taiwan''.  Most recently Wei composed and completed the soundtrack for Hongwu’s new dance "See You".
Needless to say, Wei is one of the most talented musical geniuses to come out of Taiwan in a generation. His DJ set is one you should not miss.
