Having previously reinterpreted Pedro Capelossi’s Disruption on the catalog’s inaugural EP, Anton now delivers Cylon — a collection of three originals that move fluidly between deep house and dub house. 

“Imprinting” closes the EP with a dub chord marking the rhythm, this time with a more measured pace, underpinned by a deep sub and punchy kick, creating a rich and immersive soundscape.

Since forming their partnership in Rosario, Argentina, José Duque and Bruno Signorelli have spent more than a decade sculpting a sound that sits perfectly between deep progressive pulse and sophisticated melodic architecture.

Now they return to HIGHER STATES with a powerful three-track EP that guides the listener through shifting landscapes of bass, melody and feeling. The duo's chemistry is magnetic and unmistakable. They skilfully play with contrast in their sonic expressions — shadow against light, tension against release — holding that delicate balance between darkness and lift in every track.

‘Tear Drop' opens with restraint before tearing into an addictive, rolling groove. Melodic fragments and intricate effects bloom across the spectrum. The sounds are detailed, cinematic, and executed with a masterful sound design you feel directly upon hearing it.

With ‘Dizzy', Abity go straight for the body. Heavy kicks, driving groove, hypnotic arpeggios looping upward in controlled ascent. The track builds pressure, rising and rising before slipping into a deep, eyes-closed moment on the dance floor.

‘Modulare' closes the journey on a futuristic axis. Sharp rhythms, unexpected turns, an arrangement that keeps you moving even as it shifts direction. It's alive, and full of personality, showcasing Abity's instinct for keeping the listener in motion.

Abity's music is built on warm grooves, evolving textures and a strong narrative sense. On HIGHER STATES, they sharpen their vision, delivering a psychedelic edge that transforms their intricate soundscapes into full-fledged journeys.

Italian artist Arteforma returns to Manual Deep with his seventh single on the label, cementing his place as one of its regulars, if not a true resident artist.

Known for his refined and emotional touch, Arteforma has also graced labels such as Suprematic, WAYU, and Seven Villas, while curating his own sonic sanctuary through his imprint Eremo.

Torrente Montano flows as a piece of four to the floor downtempo electronica, rich in subtle textures, lush synth melodies, and a gentle rhythmic pulse. Laid back yet deeply evocative, it's a dreamy journey through Arteforma's signature blend of warmth and introspection.

Brilliant Brazilian duo, Bhaskar and ZAC collaborate on ‘Inner Eye’.   Bhaskar has emerged as a key figure in the evolution of electronic music in Brazil. In 2020, having toured the world and released on a some seminal labels, including Spinnin, Sony and Polydor, he launched Follow The Sun, a unique venture recording sunset performances in picturesque locations in Brazil, and now plays a crucial role as one of the main producers and curators of the Universo Paralello Festival and is a partner at the Controversia label.   

Equally, ZAC is at the heart of the Brazilian electronic music scene. Internationally renowned as a DJ and producer, director of the acclaimed label [Fluxo], and a revered professor of music production. Already signed to Beat Boutique, Warung, and more showcases his near two decade dedication to music which finds him at the pinnacle of his career.   

Opening with tribal drums, ‘Inner Eye’ draws together the combined talents of two of Brazils most exciting exports. Dark Reese bass and skippy percussions keep the energy high as this unabashed dancefloor head-wrecker builds up a head of steam. Muted pads and keys join in the break to create a warm wall of noise before the drop reconnects us to the dance floor. Solid club business.

id - as in ego, and superego - is a South Coast-based artist who produces in his rural studio. His aim is not to pander to the zeitgeist, but to explore his own timeless mix of authentic, Detroit-infused acid, house, and techno. His music seeks to do away with traditional genre boundaries and challenge dancers, moving them on both physical and emotional levels. It will come initially on The Bubble, which will later grow into a multi-artist platform as id himself continues to develop his synth-based live show.

'Re Eater’ is a bold statement of intent from the off: warped acid lines worm their way through stripped back drums and a throbbing low end while kinetic percussion amps up the energy. Moody pads keep things unsettling and perfect for a strobe-lit warehouse. Just as darkly and deeply absorbing is 'The Boy Who Refused To Grow Up', a mysterious acid house jacker that is always evolving. Nothing is fixed to the grid as a male vocal questions who and what we are to bring a psyched-out edge.

Defiance is a bold refusal to obey, an inner stance of resistance that pushes back against pressure, authority, or expectations. It carries an undertone of "I'm not like you" not shouted, but simply lived. It is a calm insistence on one's own path and identity that defines determination, tension and empowered rebellion.

This EP composition has three mesmerizing intrepretations of "Defiance", with Stil & Bense's orignal being an exceptional track as per usual. You can expect a perfect danceable bass mixed with beautiful aligning melodies and just the right amount of deepness, perfectly rounded up with sassy vocals.

Rïa Mehta, Colin Levis & Bäggy complete this EP with their Remixes, making it a dancefloor defiance to not dance. A must listen for all the DJ's out there!
