I had the pleasure of spinnin the opening dj set for the Goapele concert (Detroit). It was a night filled with beautiful people, positive vibrations and awesome energy. I kept it soulful.

Lots of people there asked "where can hear me spin more," or "where can they get music like this." I always tell them to check Detroit Frequency Radio (http://www.detroitfreqradio.com) for more. 

I’ll be real.. Goapele is a true queen who sings from the soul. She is of pure spirit and energy. She can really sing! She brought loving vibes and definitely blessed us with her God given voice. I'm thankful and humbled to use my love of the art form to spread love and warm the crowd to receive Goapele.  

I’m glad I planned a soulfully inspiring set. Haven’t really spun Neo-Soul recently because I felt it got too R&B which is not a bad thing. it's just a different genre. To me, Neo-Soul has a Hip-Hop edge with harder or grittier drums. That’s what I like most about it. It’s one of my first loves tho. Sets like this remind me of the poetry spots in Detroit during the emergence of the culture. Beautifully talented people expressing themselves. This mix is filled with some of the songs I played during my first set that night. Enjoy!

Born in Houston, raised in Detroit, info has always had a deep connection to music. He first came into contact with it in elementary school in band classes, and even though he dropped it in middle school, he later found himself back on the music grind in his own unique way. As he grew older he learned to cultivate his love for music and eventually found his calling building sound waves. Through them he channels all  challenges and life struggles creating complex beats and rhymes with the goal of improving himself and his mind state, while finding ways to positively reach others and encourage them to do the same. The grind for him is never over, and he continues to raiz the bar on himself so that everyday is a challenge to achieve greatness!
