Easing us in slowly with smouldering 808 bass weight, Tristan Illament lays down the low end gospel and carefully maps his own musical journey and inspirations.

Exposed to producing at a very early age, he’s spent the 10+ years on digging deeper and deeper. What began as a love for heavyweight American style dubstep has now been fine-tuned into a swaggering, dark funk signature you can hear today on labels such as Incurzion, Flexout Audio, SWR, Calypso and, as of this coming Friday, 1 More Thing!

One of 16 artists to appear on 1 More Tune Vol 2 collection, Illament crashes the VA party with a big sack of groove grit entitled Eyes Closed. Listen closely and you’ll hear it in this mix just around the point he switches up the tempos.

The name Dopplershift has become an anticipated one on the bass scene, consistently delivering quality releases that have gained support as far as UKF, BBC Radio 1, Skankandbass, and Drum&BassArena to name a few. 

His unique approach and sound delivery have served to solidify him within the culture both locally and internationally. Often climbing the top 10 charts, Dopplershift's productions and DJ sets contain diverse elements from deep tech and jazz, through to hip-hop & jungliest rhythms. Support from tier one artists such as Monrroe, Bredren, and Noisia shows that his sound follows through from the den to dance floor.

His debut album - “Cradle Of Humankind” is set for full release beginning of April 2023.

In the six months that have passed he’s been relentless in his consistency and presence with his signature well-oiled D&B grit appearing on the likes of Ram Records, Dirtbox, Boomslang, Patrol The Skies and Covert Garden.
