Double Dash is a project born from two duelists: @hokutoto and @bercail-hysteresis
Two friends wanting to mix their time-consuming passions that are video games and music.

The objective of Double Dash is to make you dance on 8bit sounds and filled with nostalgia of the 90s, sprinkled with acid line and powdered with speedy kick.

In this eleventh of the Infraction series we’re leaving the stage open for CHO7. In this podcast our new resident wanted to share his personnal stance on the “Diversity” of electronic music.

It was hard to find a proper musical description of the set but perhaps that was the whole point; ranging from breaked and mental genres to a more uplifting and musical approach of electronic music via post-punk voice samples and rhythmic beats, CHO7 dazzles our minds with the help of well selected old school and generic samples. Overall the set provides an approach on the many samples and beat breaking techniques that appear in various notorious electronic genres. One can all only sit and appreciate the fuzziness and the curiosity going on in CHO7’s mind.

Aujourd'hui c'est un voyage acido-trancy-house assuré par la doublette full énergie et groovy vibes Hokuto/Strange Nacho.

2h de traversée spirituelle comme une palette de ce que ces deux hyperactifs veulent transmettre quand ils jouent, à la croisée d'influences funk, break et progressive.

Un set enregistré à l'occasion d'un warm up coloré pour l'ouverture de saison de la Belle Electrique le 8 septembre 2023.

Amatrice de textures synthétiques et d’atmosphères aux vocaux accrocheurs, Actress M embrasse une esthétique souvent inspirée par les années 80 et leurs répercussions contemporaines dans la musique électronique.

Influencée par la scène underground, elle a toujours été attirée par différentes sonorités et énergies uniques en leurs genres, telles que l'Italo Disco, le Dark Disco, l'EBM et l’Indie Dance. Ces influences se reflètent dans ses sélections variées et dans ses mix où elle fusionne avec passion des éléments nostalgiques avec une esthétique plus nouvelle

𝘽𝙞𝙤 :

Productrice et DJ, @brumdj figure en tant qu’artiste confirmée de la scène lyonnaise. Elle se livre avec une grande authenticité et cherche toujours à surprendre son public avec des paysages sonores contrastés, envoûtants et immersifs. Grâce à ses références combinant plusieurs genres tels que la techno mentale et oldschool avec des sonorités industrielles, elle propose une expérience introspective.
Membre du collectif Lyonnais @corymb, elle rejoint également Infrason en 2023 en tant que résidente. Co-fondatrice du collectif @crystalnumberss, elle cherche à développer au sein de celui-ci un espace de liberté dédié à l’expérimentation sonore.

𝘽𝙞𝙤 :

From Normandie to Paris, dj non producteur fortement revendiqué. Hard groove, breakbeat, bass music, ghetto tech, trance… beaucoup de styles mélangés pour un medley trop souvent nommé “un giga bordel bien technique quand même😮‍💨”

Clairement un set pour faire danser les potes. L’idée était assez claire, mélanger les choses que j’aime en ce moment, qu'importe si de base on ne les imagine pas ensemble. On y retrouve Ghetto, Trance, Baile, Bass, Jungle, Techno… bref, ce que j’aime en ce moment.

𝘽𝙞𝙤 :

Hokuto est le résident historique d'Infrason!

D'aussi loin qu'il se souvienne, Hokuto a toujours été un geek à lunette, passant un nombre d'heures incalculable à traîner sur les internets.

Ce temps, il le rentabilise aujourd'hui en vous dégotant la meilleure des selectas. 
Sa sélection oscillant entre disco, house et trance fortement influencé par la funk nippone, l'italo disco et la power house acidulée font de ses sets un condensé de groove et d'énergie explosifs.

C’est à force de jouer aux jeux vidéos en écoutant du Justice que sa passion pour le mix s’est révélée. Appuyer sur des boutons, laisser partir les bangers, voila à quoi il s’exerce depuis qu’il a 6 ans.

Rapide, précis, incisif et parfois armé de son kimono légendaire, le grenoblois découpe les dancefloors au sabre, s'imposant aujourd'hui comme un des noms incontournables de la scène locale.

Ce set est un hommage à toutes les personnes qui m’ont entourés depuis mes débuts dans la musique. Chaque musique est sélectionnée pour correspondre à une personne d’une manière ou une autre. 

Résultat un set solaire et explosif oscillant entre disco, house, progressive et Cowboy Bebop: Un set qui me ressemble.

𝘽𝙞𝙤 :

SPLT artiste émergent français, bien ancré au sein du collectif Infrason, s'est fait remarquer avec plusieurs sorties sur des labels influents, attirant l'attention des médias spécialisés. Il a également reçu des éloges de figures emblématiques de la scène techno. Passionné de digging, son style distinctif explore un mélange original de techno, breakbeat, bass et électro, offrant une expérience sonore captivante, presque hypnotique, qui transporte l'auditeur à travers des paysages sonores abstraits.

𝘽𝙞𝙤 :

Né en 2021 de l’union de deux DJ grenoblois (Hokuto et Bercail), le duo Double Dash s’est formé autour de leurs passions communes : le clubbing et les bandes originales oubliées de jeux vidéos.

Leur quête principale : composer des sets intenses, où les sonorités trance tutoient les Hadoken, les basslines acid glissent dans le tube et les mélodies 8 bits arrivent comme des carapaces bleues.

Ayant partagé l’affiche avec Ceephax Acid Crew, Vladimir Dubyshkin, Nite Fleit, Mud Deep, DMX Krew et autres références de la scène électronique, Double Dash a pex dans les salles grenobloises, lyonnaises et parisiennes. 

Dorénavant résidents du collectif Infrason, le duo s’applique à surprendre et séduire un public nostalgique, curieux, ou simplement déchainé.

𝙌𝙪𝙚𝙡𝙦𝙪𝙚𝙨 𝙢𝙤𝙩𝙨 𝙙𝙚 𝙡'𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙚 𝙖̀ 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙥𝙤𝙨 𝙙𝙪 𝙥𝙤𝙙𝙘𝙖𝙨𝙩 :

Ce mix, basé sur le set joué au Badaboum en avril dernier, concentre OST de jeux vidéos et d’animés, entre les synthés furieux, les drums breakés, le 8bit et la trance. 
On y retrouve les incontournables de notre sélection comme Ceeephax Acid Crew, AYU Acid et Rigson, des sorties récentes de leurs labels préférés, mais aussi des samples de Baldur’s Gate et des morceaux de jeux de course oubliés de la Playstation.

A drum addict to hip-hop before becoming a DJ, Softly is more the type to refine his tracks than to polish his Insta presence. Always happy to dish out sonic sweeps straight from Detroit, he takes great pleasure in cranking up the BPM and lacing his House sets with Disco gems, Acid, and UK Garage.

Eclectic behind his machines as well, he's released productions on Cod3 QR, Laurent Garnier’s label, as well as on his home labels Kizi Garden and Kizi404. Whether you catch him at an open-air gig dropping sun-soaked House or at a dark afterparty spinning Drexciya, one thing’s for sure—you’ll be left wishing he stepped out of his studio more often.

Cheerfulness is one thing and then there's whatever was going on in Ben M's mind when he recorded this set amidst the summer heatwave that hit Lyon, Ben’s hometown. We’ve been saving this one in our record store for colder times and now it’s safe to say that we could use a bit of warm and jazzy house music. 

Hold your horses because the temperature certainly won't be going down during an hour and a half of joyful and beat-loving funk music punctuated by several house peaks.

In this second edition of the Infraction series, Ben M explores “Warmth” and its translation into electronic music.

IS006 | CHO7						

In this sixth edition of the Infraction series we’re leaving the stage open for CHO7. In this podcast our new resident wanted to share his personnal stance on the “Diversity” of electronic music.

It was hard to find a proper musical description of the set but perhaps that was the whole point; ranging from breaked and mental genres to a more uplifting and musical approach of electronic music via post-punk voice samples and rhythmic beats, CHO7 dazzles our minds with the help of well selected old school and generic samples. Overall the set provides an approach on the many samples and beat breaking techniques that appear in various notorious electronic genres. One can all only sit and appreciate the fuzziness and the curiosity going on in CHO7’s mind.

In this seventh edition of the Infraction series we’re inviting our homeboy from Grenoble, Make Install and his fresh perspective on what does it musically mean to be “non-linear”.

Obviously, the set breaks through many genres, from deep and aquatic vibes echoing far away too much rougher and EBM-like tracks. Make Install’s favoured genre is undoubtly breakbeat, the genre itself brings a non-linear rhythm to the whole performance.
