RETRO FUTURA is a collection of ideas and sketches created during the winter of 2024. Seven tracks, including an intro and an interlude—a poem written and performed by Tinkerbel.

The sound is raw, filled with ambient textures and tape effects. Old ROM sample CDs and club classics were sampled and reworked to create a balance between past and future. Half of the mixtape embraces a modern, bouncing groove, while the other half dives into old-school Schranz.

In Furcht is a Berlin based producer, DJ, and aspiring sound engineer. In Furcht’s sound is inspired by the early 2000’s and his goal is to take it to this generation by playing and remixing many hidden gems in his sets. His productions as well as his play style rely heavily on fast and loopy techno, with an emphasis on groovy shakers and catchy vocals.

At the beginning of 2023, he started his own label, GROOVE2000, to realize his vision and create his own sound. Also, a release on the second various artists of the mighty label Isarn followed as well as his debut EP on his own imprint. 
For this year, two releases on various artist compilations are planned, as well as an EP on vinyl, and several other projects.

This recording is from our HÖR set, alongside GLASSBASS, was hosted by SYNOID. We kicked things off with an epic Russian choir that set the tone for what was to come—a dive into Schranz territory. We pulled tracks from the last 20 years, blending some of the hardest and most iconic sounds that have shaped the scene. It all builds up to a massive, unforgettable finale with a Schranz banger by Boris S.  We are excited to share it with you, have fun ! <3

SYNOID - GLASSBASS B2B IN FURCHT | HÖR - October 11 / 2024

The track HALFMOON started as a collaboration with Lorenzo Mancino in his home studio and was later finished in IN FURCHT’s studio. After testing it in clubs, including the Weltspieleclub in Hannover, the track was completely deconstructed and rebuilt to make it more danceable and club-ready. HALFMOON explores intense emotions tied to old, painful memories, with lyrics written and performed solely by Lorenzo Mancino. Interestingly, the main vocal line that appears in the middle of the track was entirely freestyled and kept in its raw form after recording, giving it an authentic and unpolished feel.

In Furcht is a Berlin-based producer, DJ, and sound engineer. At the beginning of 2023, he founded his own label, GROOVE2000, to bring his vision to life and create his own unique sound.

Over the years, In Furcht has made a name for himself by performing at some of the most renowned clubs, including Tresor West, Gotec, RSO, and Rote Sonne. Earlier in 2024, he showcased his talents in a highly acclaimed Hör Berlin set. Additionally, he had the honor of playing at the iconic Rave the Planet parade, where he performed in front of an audience of 300,000 people.

At the beginning of 2025, In Furcht released a his mixtape RETRO FUTURA, marking a shift towards a more innovative and modern sound. This release set the tone for the year ahead, with numerous projects and releases already in the pipeline for 2025, promising to further push the boundaries of his signature style.
