For its last release of 2023, When We Dip XYZ is proud to present a three track remix pack of Motip White’s ‘Clean the Turbines’ EP. 

Kicking things off is Atish, chopping and pitching Motip White’s vocal from ‘What Do You Want Me to Say.’ The Manjumasi label-boss complements the track with a rolling bassline, glitches hitting left, right, and centre, and the gritty bass fills from the original. 
 
Also taking on ‘What Do You Want Me to Say,’ Gespona & Djolee craft huge percussion rolls and manipulate White’s layers and textures. The two artists, who have just launched their own label ‘Rummel,’ leave room for the memorable hook halfway through, which then recedes in favour of the heavy drums. 

Third up is Meera with her take on ‘Clean the Turbines.’ Faithful to her style, which has recently been showcased on VOD and Crosstown Rebels, she opposes a subby kick with a tempest of hats & shakers, harmonically guided by a light piano. The Norwegian producer keeps on building the energy, surprisingly introducing her own vocals and an acid layer on the arp as the tune unfolds.

Johannes Brecht returns to Diynamic with a three track EP titled „Believer".
The title track is a melancholic collaboration with singer Ben Westbeech. One-take mono-recorded drums on an original 808 create the most organic feel (you might notice the tempo slightly varying in places). The warm bass line and string and piano elements are complementing the cold realizations of Ben's words. A minimalistic arrangement that focusses on the quality of its ingredients and mastery of implementation technique, much like traditional Italian cuisine whose reduction to the essentials gives it its power.
This is followed by a club version of „Believer" with added drive and energy, but without sacrificing any of the original's sincerity.
And as B-side comes „Arp Piano" that is the result of a self-built digital instrument, where Johannes Brecht manually sampled each note of his studio piano and through the input of simple commands creates arpeggiated staccato melodies.

After his „Private Dancer“ on Diynamic’s „Four To The Floor 26“, German DJ and producer Basti Grub returns to the label with his first full four-tracker titled „I Want To Party With You EP“
Opening track „Sondans“ features Kenyan singer Sofiya Nzau’s playful voice over a worldly beat with Amapiano/Latin influences.
„Elis“ featuring HOTDISC is a high-paced dance floor workout for the peak time, while their collaboration „I Want To Party With You“ that additionally includes the hypnotic vocals of Dizzy Monroe is a deeper affair.
And closing off the record is the mellow „Robotooo“ that gives off sunset vibes on a warm beach in your nearest paradise

A.C.N. brings the heat with ‘Hekima’, a wonderfully melodic track that brings us back to the emotive aspect of ourselves. Warm bass and inspiring pads take us inward, for some brief introspection, but soon the energy of the beats and the riff increase, eliciting an uplifting vibe.

Frau Blau label boss Kadosh lands on the legendary Family Piknik with a catchy techno banger - 'Samurai'. Known for his quality releases on labels such as Innervisions, Live at Robert Johnson and Disco Halal, Kadosh regularly rubs shoulders with like-minded DJs Dixon, Âme, Solomun, and Damian Lazarus. His infectious grooves that have won him many A-list supporters and high profile gigs across the world seeing him playing in Tulum, Ibiza, London and beyond. ‘Samurai’ in original form is a tough, dark groove with bags of personality. A bubbly low end and sparse percussive keep the groove deep and ice cool for the perfect mid-set bruiser where the room is fully focused, heads down and ready to party. The short break serves to reset the floor before bright keys inject new energy and a powerful crescendo.
