“Visions & Dreams” is a fresh collection of songs written, co-produced, and performed by singer-songwriter Ingrid D. Johnson with musical composition, arrangment, and co-production by her band “The Funky Fresh Crew” with some featured performances from artists from the 2009 compilation CD wounded Soul Vol 1&2. 

This album is Johnson’s sophomore album, as a singer - songwriter. The songs are soulful, introspective, fun, spiritual and socially conscious. The album showcases the growth, warmth, strength, and character in Johnson’s voice. 

Enjoy this diverse, musical, experience that offers a shot of wisdom and a taste of Soul, Jazz, R&B, Reggae, Pop, Gospel, and a hint of spoken word. It is an album written with the heart and soul of a poet asking us all to hold on to our “Visions and Dreams” ... and never let go! Enjoy.

Ingrid D. Johnson is a published poet, spoken word recording artist, singer-songwriter that uses her Music & ART to bring awareness to important social issues, like childhood sexual abuse.

All of her creative endeavors are produced and promoted by her small production company In The Closet Productions. Established in September 2009.

*** On October.26th, 2011, Johnson was chosen by The Manitoba Women’s Advisory Council and Mentoring Artist’s for Women’s Art (MAWA) to be honored by Jennifer Howard ( The Minister of The Manitoba Status of Women) for using music for social change. She was featured in their publication: Women in The Arts; Artists Working for Social Change.
